  • I have compiled a list comparing Borsoka's edits with the original sources, proving them to be copy-pasted or closely paraphrased. Following a content debate I had with Borsoka, I realized some of his/her edits were closely paraphrasing the cited sources. When I concluded it's plagiarism, Borsoka asked me to bring evidence for my claim. However, although my list was already growing, Borsoka [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3ARomania_in_the_Early_Middle_Ages&action=historysubmit&diff=453876003&oldid=453068152 minimized the issue] ("the article should be slightly rewritten", "plagiarism might be supposed: there is a very narrow path between OR and plagiarism", "'suspectful' cases", etc.) and did not take the blame and the responsibility to correct the problems he/she created. Not only Borsoka was not cooperative but now also inactive for about three weeks. Moreover, some of the articles have the GA status (Roman Dacia, Romania in the Early Middle Ages, Literary sources for the origin of the Romanians) and yet no other editor reacted. So here I am. Unfortunately my list is not exhaustive and I think it shows some worrying patterns. I'm not sure though how to find out the extent of the problem. For example this section was copy-pasted from [http://books.google.com/books?id=xxAm3LYT6XsC&pg=PA56 this page] (see also the entries 92 and 93 in my list), but probably not the entire article is copy-pasted or closely paraphrased. I've now found multiple significant copyvios from the book: Dimnik, Martin. The Dynasty of Chernigov - 1146-1246.. Articles that use just that source I can safely say are vios (only can see a small portion of the book but that's been all I've needed to confirm). Wizardman 14:12, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
