Note: The potential violation is not of the URL's actual content, but might be of the content of the book described at the URL − Pride of Tamil Cinema 1931-2013 (Tamil Films That Have Earned National and International Recognition) – I don't know for certain that a copyvio exists in the article, but I strongly suspect it due to User:Sangavitamilmani, who added the plot summary, having a history of previous copyvios, and her having cited the book in question as the source for the "Plot section". I don't have access to the book; I would greatly appreciate if someone who does would check it out. • :Google Books isn't helpful in my region. MER-C 16:30, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
  • ::Yeah, I tried Google Books too. I also tried Archive.org Open Library, with no success. Amazon sells it as an E-book, but it costs $15. I haven't got $15 to spend on a book that I'm not truly interested in reading for myself, and I'm sure you and a lot of other people are in the same situation. Hopefully, someone who already owns the book will see this listing, or someone who knows someone who owns it, or else some benevolent wealthy person who has no issues with buying a $15 book solely for the purpose of solving this problem. Honestly, I'm just happy to get any response to my listing at all, be it positive or negative. So, thank you for your response, and for all the good work you do here on Wikipedia. • :::Perhaps WP:RX can help? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 19:48, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
  • ::::WP:RX looks promising; I will try it, although I think I will wait until I have gone through the entire list on the CCI subpage for Sangavitamilmani, just in case she cited the book in other articles, so I can request all relevant pages in a single request. Thank you, Jo-Jo Eumerus, for your response and for everything you do on Wikipedia. SmileySnail (talk) 18:25, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
  • :Removed it for now. If it's confirmed to be clean then it can be restored at that time. Wizardman 23:24, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
  • ::That sounds reasonable. I considered removing the content myself, but was hesitant to because I tend to work under the principle "innocent until proven guilty" in situations where I haven't sufficient evidence to make a judgement. That being said, if Wikipedia policy favors presumptive (non-permanent) removal in copyvio cases lacking definitive evidence, that is how I will approach such cases from now on. Thank you, User:Wizardman, for your reply, and for all your work on Wikipedia. SmileySnail (talk) 20:59, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
