• This image fails to comply with Wikipedia Non-Free Content Criterion 3a: Minimal usage (“multiple items of non-free content are not used if one item can convey equivalent significant information”) as it is using multiple items of non-free content (i.e. (1)QuickTime Player and (2) Pixar's Up) when only one (QuickTime Player) is sufficient. This image can reasonably be replaced with a screenshot of QuickTime Player that is showing a free video from Wikimedia Commons. :::The rationale was uploaded to the image's page. This is the same rationale used for all original score cover images when used in the motion picture's and soundtrack's articles. I do not understand what the problem is... which nevertheless, would be with the policy in place for all such images not this particular image. • Keep - The fair use rationale might be improved by using a template (see :Category:Non-free use rationale templates), but I think the rationale given is adequate and this is almost certainly a suitable use. It is commonly accepted that a suitably small cover image can be used in an article about an album. In this case the album doesn't have a stand-alone article but is included as a section within the movie's article, and so it is appropriate to use the album cover in that section, as has been done here. cmadler (talk) 17:59, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

• Fails WP:NFCC criteria 1, 5, and 8. In particular, #1: Contrary to the FUR, this is not a logo used by any organization to identify itself, it is a graphic designed by ESPN to indicate a grouping of three schools. #8: This graphic does not aid understanding of the topic. A better graphic for this topic might be an outline of Michigan with markers at the locations of Eastern, Central, and Western; that would help with an understanding of the geographical positioning of the schools. cmadler (talk) 13:08, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
• Keep for about a hundred reasons, but after Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Directional Michigan (2nd nomination) I'll hang my hat on this simply being disruptive. But since I should address the two remaining issues: #1 I would continue with "...and is therefore very useful" and #8 of course it aids in the understanding of the topic--Michigan with a compass: "Directional Michigan" -- failure to "blank out" an article to get it deleted is not a reason to delete an image in an attempt to make a forthcoming third deletion attempt more successful.
