It is disputed whether this file violates our non-free content criteria{{#if:Image illustrates the item which is the main subject of the article, and is being used as the primary means of visual identification of the item described in the article—i.e., a dominatrix wearing an open-faced ponygirl bondage hood. Also, the film which the image is taken from—Preaching to the Perverted—is a widely recognized pop culture example of a dominatrix (albeit a fictitious one portrayed by an actress) wearing a open-faced bondage hood, which is specifically alluded to in the text of the article and other related articles. Thus, the image makes the topic of the article more understandable and accessible to the casual reader unfamiliar with the subject of bondage hoods, and specifically, open-faced bondage hoods as worn by dominatrices. No other free image exists on Wikipedia of an open-faced ponygirl-style bondage hood, or of any such item worn by a dominatrix, or as seen in the film Preaching to the Perverted. Indeed, this exact image has attained a singular iconographic status in popular culture—and as such, it functions as a uniquely precise and vivid illustration of the subject and topic of the article. For all the said reasons, the image accords with the fair use policy and cannot be replaced.

This image is certainly not fair use in the bondage hood article, so I've deleted the use of it there. I leave the question of whether this image is fair use for the film article to others to judge. -- The Anome (talk) 09:10, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Whoa there! I've just seen non-free-use uses of this image in two other articles. Since the image is clearly not free use for the purpose specified in the fair use statement, and since it's also being spammed all over the place, I'll just speedy delete it now. -- The Anome (talk) 09:15, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
