Files claim to be released into the public domain by the uploader, but there's not clear evidence that the uploader is indeed the author. The site linked that has some of these images makes no clear claim of copyright nor of releasing the images under any particular license. Thoughts on what to do would be appreciated. Copyright unclear. Uploader claims to have taken the image and released it into the public domain, citing a Picasa page. However, based on [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Undeletion_requests/Archive/2010-06 this Commons discussion] it sounds like the Picasa page claimed that all rights were reserved. An email to follow-up with the uploader in 2010 doesn't appear to have been fruitful. As you can see from the discussion cited above, the file has been previously deleted from Commons.
