Wikipedians held an editathon at the West Midlands Police Museum ([http://www.westmidlandspolicemuseum.co.uk/]), in Birmingham, on Saturday, 15 March 2014. Assistance was given to several new editors.
The museum
The museum, not normally open to the public, is located at the rear of Sparkhill Police Station, 639 Stratford Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham B11 4EA; coordinates: {{coord|52.45060|-1.86488|region:GB-BIR_type:landmark}}
It has a small but significant collection of material relating to the West Midlands Police (who are 40 years old this year) and their antecedent forces.
The museum has wheelchair access, but no adapted toilets.
The event
The event, hosted by the West Midlands Police, was on Saturday, 15 March.
There were opportunity to research and write/ improve articles; and to take photographs of objects outside their glass cases.
The event began with a short talk about the museum.
