Is there a way to remove a redirect completely?
Hi,
Currently this wikilink [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Diane_DiPiaza&redirect=no], redirects to Misfits (band), even though DiPiaza was never part of the band. I blanked the page a while back, but someone reverted me [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Diane_DiPiaza&type=revision&diff=850834719&oldid=850827496]. What's the best way to resolve this? Thanks! David O. Johnson (talk) 07:12, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
:Seek deletion at WP:RfD I'll do that for you. Legacypac (talk) 07:19, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
Category sort question
I would appreciate it if someone could look at :Category:Historically segregated African-American schools in the United States and tell me why the sort is so crazy, with "Calhoun Colored School" under A, "Kellom Elementary School" under M, and many others.
I know the solution is to add a SortKey to each page, but I would like to understand how this happens. There are many categories with inexplicable (to me) sorting. Thank you. deisenbe (talk) 12:50, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
:The category page says "Pages sorted by state." Calhoun Colored School contains
with sortkey Alabama. Kellom Elementary School has Nebraska and sorts under N, not M. PrimeHunter (talk) 13:00, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
Slash in a title
I'd prefer to see Old Growth (New Now) at Old Growth (New/Now) but the slash seems to make it a subpage. Is there a solution for this or is it not an issue? It is an art installation with the slash and the brackets in the name. Legacypac (talk) 22:46, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
:Subpages are disabled in mainspace so Old Growth (New/Now) is not a subpage and is an allowed article title per WP:NC-SLASH. The talk page Talk:Old Growth (New/Now) would be a subpage of Talk:Old Growth (New but we accept that for many other articles. It only causes minor issues. ::Happy days. Thanks for explaining. Legacypac (talk) 23:31, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
