Magnus Manske Day is January 25, which commemorates the day in 2002 when Wikipedia switched to the Phase II software, the precursor to MediaWiki. This was an important day for Wikipedia. On January 25, 2004, the second anniversary of Magnus Manske Day, the last-remaining language editions of Wikipedia powered by UseModWiki finally switched to MediaWiki.
