Fifteen participants attended this meetup and #1lib1ref edit-a-thon held in the [https://www.library.unisa.edu.au/about-the-library/campus-libraries/city-west/ Library City West campus, University of South Australia], Jeffrey Smart Building, 217-243 Hindley Street, Adelaide. The teaching space on Level 5 of the library facilitated group work, with a large screen at the end of each collaborative workspace.

Most people brought laptops and wireless access was available.

Most people were new editors, including several school library staff and international students. The expert assistance of long time editors was amazing and there are plans for ongoing events.

The 3 hour edit-a-thon format included:

  • Welcome and introductions
  • Overview of Wikipedia and editing training for newbies
  • A morning tea/coffee break
  • Getting started on [https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/The_Wikipedia_Library/1Lib1Ref #1lib1ref]. Library staff worked particularly on improving citations for South Australian authors, including
