National Archives and Records Administration
A Wikipedia Hack-a-Thon

File:US_National_Archives_Building.jpg

Hackathon -- The National Archives and Records Administration and prof. Andrew Lih, welcomes participants to its hack-a-thon focused on creating an exhibit about Wikipedia for the public and cultural professionals in DC. This is a collaboration between American University class COMM535 journalism professor Andrew Lih and NARA, as part of the planning for the forthcoming Wikipedia Space project. See the Knight Foundation grant [http://www.knightfoundation.org/grants/201450237/ description page]

Part of the edit-a-thon will be reviewing the semester's work for creating the exhibit, and also brainstorming on new content for the Wikipedia Space, such as visual displays, interactive stations or other GLAM-related content.
