  • AfroCrowd Black History Month event w/ Fordham (during February 2018)
  • Black History Month at York College (during February 2018)
  • Women's History Month at BMCC (during March 2018)
  • Wikipedia training for faculty of York College, City University of New York. It was reminder how remarkable it is that faculty in many locations incorporate Wikipedia into their classes without ever seeking assistance. It's an opportunity for WMNYC to start ongoing relationships. Megs set up "CUNY Edits," a group on the City University of New York's academic commons to foster better communication among the many CUNY institutions.
  • Project with Columbia University Oral History program to document marginalized communities.

  • Discussion of WNYC's [http://www.wnyc.org/shows/nancy Nancy] project (podcasts by/for the LGBTQ community), ideas and preparation for an editathon at the upcoming South by Southwest (SXSW) festival. Encouraging lots of preparation, even holding an editathon or two in NYC to gauge the issues involved
