Women's History Edit-a-thon: Suffragists 3/26/20

Please join us as we contribute to Wikipedia to celebrate Women's History Month.

This event is open to the public and we welcome people of all gender identities and expressions. No experience with editing Wikipedia is required but it is recommended that you bring a laptop. We will have a limited number of laptops available for those who don't have their own. We will start the edit-a-thon with a brief tutorial to cover the basics and experienced Wikipedians will be around to help out. We will be providing a list of Wikipedia articles to edit but participants are welcome to come with their own editing ideas. The event will be held from 4pm to 8pm, stay as long as you'd like but you are not required to stay for the entire event to participate.
We also welcome any one who can speak a second language to translate existing articles on the topic.

Wikipedia for Educators at Fordham will be hosting a #WomensHistory event on Wednesday, March 26, 2020 and Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 4pm to 8pm at Fordham’s Lincoln Center campus.
This event is designed to increase the coverage of women on Wikipedia. Specifically we will be adding information about women from the suffrage movement. The edit-a-thon will include tutorials for the beginner Wikipedian, ongoing editing support, reference materials, refreshments, and a pizza reception following the event. This event is free and open to the public. People of all gender identities and expressions are invited to participate.
We will have a list of possible articles to work on but you can also bring your own.
