Image seems to be a publication that I do not believe the uploader is the copyright holder of. Nv8200p talk 01:48, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
The image is the property of Streamezzo SA, of which I am Chief Scientist and fully accredited to assert copyright. It is true that this image is used within other publications (such as an IEEE article, and two websites) but the standalone image can still be asserted GFDL by its owner, Streamezzo, through one of its representatives, me.

Claims of fair use without supporting evidence; at least one blatantly false; see talk --Danorton (talk) 05:23, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- The only false claim was that it was a lower res than the original. Now it does have a lower res than the original. Your friend Eddy of the wiki[citation needed] 20:22, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- I rebut the immediately previous claim with details on the image's talk page. --Danorton (talk) 22:24, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Questionable if the listed site, [http://www.saito8.com/] has released this image under the GFDL and/or CC. The text added by the uploader states the photo is courtesy of the site. The site has a copyright notice at the bottom of the page. If it is not free, then it is likley replacable as the person shown is still alive. The same issue with the following images too: :Image:Saito at wheel4.jpg, :Image:Saito Sailing Plan1.jpg, and :Image:Saito 2008-9 Westward Route1.jpg. The latter two as listed as PD-self. Jordan 1972 (talk) 15:36, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
Response from HB: I am the owner of these images. I also publish the web page where they originally appeared. I therefore give myself :) and anyone else free use of these images. The map, which I adapted for use was a low rez version and can be removed, though it would be nice if I didn't have to make it over again from scratch, but certainly can. Everything we are doing in respect to Saito's 8th circumnavigation is volunteer and non-profit. The gesture of goodwill will be appreciated!

This image is clearly a promotional photograph from Ford Motor Company. As such, even if the magazine it came from allowed its use here (unlikely), the magazine cannot do so because it does not own the copyright to the image. Sable232 (talk) 20:12, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
I thougt it would be fine it's a free magazine so I figured the image would be free aswell, I wasn't trying to decive anyone, I'm just new and would appercate any help possiable to resolve this issue.
I am sorry if I caused any innconvinance to anybody here.

- Still fails Fair Use criteria as it would be entirely possible to create a free image of a 1980 F250. --Richmeistertalk 14:16, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Book Cover - claimed as PD-self - No indication uploader is author/publisher Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:40, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
This is a digital picture of my book and my certificate. The picture is mine as I took it and I am releasing it for use on Wiki. What would you like me to do to prove that I took the picture; perhaps someone taking a picture of me taking the picture???FrankWilliams (talk) 17:43, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
: If it's your book (as in a book you wrote) please forward the permission to the OTRS queue see WP:IOWN and WP:COPYREQ Sfan00 IMG (talk) 00:09, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
No I didn't write the book but I have the book. I have a right to take a picture of my book and it is being used in an article about the book; I've uploaded for use and releasing it. This is no different then people who take pictures of their cars and use them in Wiki articles about their cars. Nuff Said. 206.125.176.3 (talk) 17:12, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
:Actually, it's quite different. Car designs aren't copyrightable (they're patentable), book text is. You may own the book but you don't have the right to copy it. Stifle (talk) 21:51, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

This is a logo for a private company, questionable if uploader has the auhority to license the image under Creative Commons -- the comapny website does not appear to give that permission. Jordan 1972 (talk) 23:34, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

This appears on the entity's website at [http://sbm.temple.edu/alter/gallery/alter-large/1b_small_liacouras.jpg] and there is no indication the uploader owns the copyright and can freely license it. Jordan 1972 (talk) 23:54, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
