:This is kind of an interesting case. If this were a US company's logo, I might be persuaded that this is {{tl|PD-textlogo}} as this Best Western logo was famously denied copyright registration, despite several appeals. However, this logo is from Canada. Canada has a lower threshold of originality than the U.S and provides copyright protection in some instances where the U.S. clearly would not. Because Commons has already chosen to delete this I've edited the image description to note that this image is not eligible to be moved to commons, in case we decide to keep it. —RP88 ^(talk) 16:29, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

• Comment. As I mentioned in an earlier WP:PUF nomination of this image, I think that {{tl|PD-textlogo}} applies in this case. I should add that our thresholds for originality (if it differs between countries) generally follows the U.S. standards (e.g., National Portrait Gallery copyright conflicts). :Assuming the summary is correct and this chart is adapted from a U.S. War Department field manual, then the licensing on this image is fine. :The chart is indeed adapted from the cited source, a government publication. It summarizes two related, but somewhat obscure, charts in the manual and adopts standard terms to make it easier for the casual reader to understand. Does it seem my image (now properly captioned and worked into the text) is OK now, and if so, does someone other than me remove the warning on it?
