This redirect is a {{Tl|R from CamelCase}}, but it was created after CamelCase was necessary in Wikipedia (created in 2008) and has no incoming links. Steel1943 (talk) 22:30, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

  • Weak keep as harmless and used (30 occasions last year). Thryduulf (talk) 23:19, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Keep. It's harmless. And while you can use "what links here" to check for current links, there is no way to know how many links are buried in pagehistory (and could be exposed if a page is reverted to, for example, clean up vandalism) nor is there any way to know how many external links exist. It's not in the way of any content and meets none of the deletion criteria for redirects. Rossami (talk) 05:23, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Keep low cost.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 16:05, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Weak delete was this a meme or hashtag recently that it needs a non-spaced version? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 05:40, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Keep - While it's not that likely of a search term, it seems at least somewhat helpful. I'd rather that we just leave it be. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 23:02, 12 February 2017 (UTC)

This might be a case where WP:REDLINK deletion might be beneficial. There's no mention at the main page, but he's prolific enough to get a mention in-passing at a few comic pages. Since redirecting to one of them would be an exercise in WP:XY, it's better for people to just use the search engine. -- Tavix (talk) 22:21, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

These redirects assume that the reader knows who George Michael is. Steel1943 (talk) 22:18, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

  • Keep. No indication that anything has changed since the last discussion. Thryduulf (talk) 23:22, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Keep. (Full disclosure: I'm the guy who created the redirect.) Yes, it's a little bit of a joke. But George Michael is by far the more famous of the two members; lots of people really do remember Ridgeley as just "TOGFW". (Which is why Family Guy could refer to him by that title, and everybody knew who they meant--even if they couldn't remember the guy's name...) Since it's a likely search term for us Gen-Xers, I think it's a worthwhile redirect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Narsil (talkcontribs) 01:26, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

Rosaline is a Shakespearean character, not a film. Someone searching for a film by this name won't be helped by the current target. -- Tavix (talk) 21:25, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

  • Interesting history. Apparently, Universal Pictures is working on a film of this title. It's to be a retelling of Romeo & Juliet from the perspective of the Roselind character. The redirect was originally created as a link to the actress playing the part. That was patently incorrect. It was turned into a redirect to the original character. That was less-bad. But I think deletion as premature speculation is best. Rossami (talk) 05:47, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

There's no reason to have a soft redirect to a dictionary entry for the German word for a phonograph record. Largoplazo (talk) 19:28, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

  • {{ping|Largoplazo}} A Chinese word "" became a soft redirect per RFD discussion. I'm unsure whether it's a good precedent to this discussion. Chinese and German languages are different from each other. I tried searching for past RFD discussions about soft redirects to English Wiktionary entries for German words but found none. Delete. This has never been linked to, and it's not used as a shortcut for obvious reasons. I rather strongly object to useful talk page templates being called "useless crap", and I object to opinionated "shortcut" links being used to pages that aren't essays. -- Tavix (talk) 17:10, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

  • Note. It is not correct to say this has never been linked to - we have know way of knowing this. It is possible and (in this case correct) to say that it is not currently linked from any page on the English Wikipedia. Links from other places, including historical revisions and edit summaries are not found by whatlinkshere. Also, there is a bug in the pageviews API and/or the stats tool that means we cannot currently see how many page views this receives. Thryduulf (talk) 17:38, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Thryduulf is entirely correct. That said, this redirect has only existed since 2014 so it probably doesn't have very many uses even in history. My guess is that this was created as a protest against the seemingly endless stacks of maintenance tags that are plastered all over far too many pages. If so, I sympathize with the intent. But the redirect has probably served its purpose. Rossami (talk) 06:14, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
