  • (Discuss):Electronic cigarette → {{no redirect|Vape}} – “Vape” is the common name for this object and has even been the term used in reliable sources such as news articles and you would never hear someone in person refer to this as an “electronic cigarette” or “e-cigarette” so “electronic cigarette” is no longer known as the common name. “Vape” is also an official term for this object and not a slang at all. Articles on wikipedia are named by common names and not official names. Prothe1st (talk) 18:57, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
  • (Discuss):Limba noastră → {{no redirect|National anthem of Moldova}} – The article's title is not explicitly mentioned in the constitution so it's best to rename it. 76.71.63.66 (talk) 21:51, 2 June 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 14:31, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
  • (Discuss):Slash-and-burn → {{no redirect|Slash-and-burn agriculture}} – This same move was proposed last August, arguing that the "Slash-and-burn" was confusing. The discussion ended with a consensus that there was no ambiguity and thus no confusion. I'm reopening the discussion for a different reason: I'm a grammar pedant. "Slash-and-burn" is an adjective phrase, basically a multi-word adjective. Wikipedia:Article titles says that nouns and noun phrases are preferred. We could comply with that by going to "slash and burn", but "slash-and-burn agriculture" is more formal titles and is more commonly used in Wikipedia. That includes the lead to this very page! — Isaac Rabinovitch (talk) 14:05, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
  • (Discuss):Empath → {{no redirect|Empath (parapsychology)}} – The article is about the parapsychological concept of an "empath", and not about a person who feels empathy. Therefore distinguishing information is necessary. There are two more articles called "Empath", as well: Empath (character) and Empath (album), so if the move is successful the Empath article can become a disambiguation page. • (Discuss):UK Addiction TreatmentUK Addiction Treatment Group Ltd. – The current title, “UK Addiction Treatment,” may misleadingly imply this is a general article about addiction treatment in the UK. However, the subject is a private company registered as “UK Addiction Treatment Group Ltd.” (per Companies House https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/08234534 UK Addiction Treatment Group Ltd). The rename would reflect the organisation's full legal name and prevent confusion with the wider sector. The press and acquisition sources also use the full name. 2A02:C7C:EC58:9F00:8D3B:2A22:6D31:93E0 (talk) 05:10, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
  • (Discuss):San Guillermo → {{no redirect|San Guillermo, Isabela}} – Revert to the original article name. It is clear that "San Guillermo" is not a unique name. There is a city in Argentina with this exact name (from Spanish Wikipedia: w:es:San Guillermo (Santa Fe)). Requested move since there is no enwiki article on the Argentine city, which may likely make this somewhat controversial within enwiki but uncontroversial outside enwiki. • (Discuss)Riphean (stage)Riphean age – The guideline that motivates this multi-page move is WP:NATURAL, where parenthetical disambiguation is less preferred than a commonly-used English phrase that disambiguates the topic. The guideline gives an example of :{{tq|hand fan is preferable to fan (implement).}} The exact choice of new article title is based on WP:COMMONNAME. What I did was go to [https://books.google.com/ngrams/ Google ngrams] and try different geological terms related to the topic, and chose the one that was the most common from 2000 onwards. For example, see [https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=Pennsylvanian+period%2CPennsylvanian+system%2CPennsylvanian+subperiod%2CPennsylvanian+subsystem&year_start=2000&year_end=2022&corpus=en&smoothing=3&case_insensitive=true this] for the choice of "Pennsylvanian period". Note that a similar proposal was discussed at Talk:Riphean (stage)#Requested move 1 February 2025. That proposal was an alternative, and the discussion focused on the main proposal. The closer didn't appear to rule on the alternative. • (Discuss):Insurgency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa → {{no redirect|Jihadist Insurgency in Pakistan}} – Pakistan's fight against terrorism is not limited to Khyber Pakthunkhwa (which is already a low-level insurgency) and has spilled over into neighboring provinces such as Balochistan with the growth of the Pakistani Taliban's presence there.https://jamestown.org/program/pakistani-taliban-broaden-support-among-baloch-merge-with-separatist-groups/ This move is also similar to how the article on Indonesia's nationwide effort against terrorism is referred to as Terrorism in Indonesia. The article was initially titled "War in North-West Pakistan" due to the fact that the Jihadist groups involved had actually held ground in both the FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, as the insurgency is currently low-level with only a cycle of terror attacks, the fact that this situation has expanded to neighboring Balochistanhttps://www.newindianexpress.com/world/2021/May/05/four-pakistani-soldiers-killed-in-terrorist-attack-while-fencing-border-with-afghanistan-2298778.htmlhttps://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx27nx0j1kjo and has historically occured across Pakistan, it is appropriate to refer to the entire conflict as a Jihadist insurgency, comparable to Terrorism in Indonesia. • (Discuss):Mike Bailey (wrestler) → {{no redirect|"Speedball" Mike Bailey}} – Part three of the bold, revert, discuss cycle. Per WP:NATDIS, we can use a less commonly used, but still commonly used, name if it would be a more natural form of disambiguation than parantheticals. It's not something that is done that often, but using quotation marks is considered a "natural disambiguation"; see "Superstar" Billy Graham instead of Billy Graham (wrestler) (primary topic, Billy Graham, televangelist). I'd also argue that, at least since signing with AEW, '"Speedball" Mike Bailey' is more common than 'Mike Bailey'; AEW alternates between 'Speedball Bailey' on match posters and '"Speedball" Mike Bailey' in entrance chyrons and commentary (indeed, funnily enough, during the Double or Nothing broadcast last night, Excalibur was calling him '"Speedball" Mike Bailey' even as the graphic on-screen just said 'Speedball Bailey', but that's by the by). I'm not sure how TNA billed him, but if a change of ring-name is borne out by third-party sources (see: Mercedes Moné vs Sasha Banks), we tend to follow. A Google News search for [https://www.google.com/search?q=mike+bailey+aew 'Mike Bailey AEW'] shows a definite regularity to the use of the epithet that it could even arguably be the actual all-caps WP:COMMONNAME instead of just "a common name". • (Discuss):Red Stone → {{no redirect|Red Stone (video game)}} – A number of toponyms with obviously greater long-term significance listed at Red Stone (disambiguation) have the same name formatting, and the term Redstone is likewise likely seen as a synonym by the average reader, so it is a violation of the principle of least astonishment to have this video game in the primary topic position. When I search for the same term in Google Books, I don't seem get any mention of the video game. • (Discuss):Niqāb → {{no redirect|Niqab}} – Common name under MOS:AR and WP:COMMONNAME. "Niqāb" is the ALA-LC romanization of the Arabic term {{lang|ar|نِقَاب}}, which is a strict transliteration for the purpose of MOS:AR. Under that MOS, common transcriptions should be preferred over strict transliterations, and {{slink|MOS:AR|Common transcription}} states that a word has a common transcription "if a large majority of references in English use the same transcription". In my view, "niqab" qualifies for this: * Checking dictionaries, the [https://www.oed.com/dictionary/niqab_n Oxford English Dictionary], [https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/niqab Merriam-Webster], [https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/niqab Cambride Dictionary] and [https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/niqab Collins] all use "niqab" (no diacritic) as the primary spelling. * [https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=niqab%2Cniq%C4%81b%2Cniqaab%2Cneqab%2Cnikab&year_start=1800&year_end=2022&corpus=en&smoothing=3 Comparing the variants "niqab", "niqāb", "niqaab", "neqab" and "nikab" on Google NGrams] suggests that "niqab" (no diacritic) is at least 50 times more common than any other variant. • (Discuss):TVA (disambiguation) → {{no redirect|TVA}} – The previous move discussion personally feels as though it was opened too soon and as though there was a deadline. There wasn't yet time to see the long term effects of Loki yet. The previous discussion closed narrowly, and Time Variance Authority still has 9k views in April (compared to Tennessee Valley Authority's 16k), despite the fact that Loki ended over a year and a half ago, and the Time Variance Authority hasn't made an appearance in the MCU since Deadpool & Wolverine, nearly a year ago now. I don't see any harm in TVA being a disambiguation page with two primary topics. • (Discuss):Maxim's Bakery → {{no redirect|Maxim's Cakes}} – I would like to request renaming the page from Maxim's Bakery to Maxim's Cakes. Reason: The proposed title "Maxim's Cakes" better reflects the company’s official English branding, as shown on storefronts, product packaging, and marketing materials in Hong Kong. While "Maxim's Bakery" may refer to a broader product line or general category, "Maxim's Cakes" is the name used in the company’s public presence and official signage. Retitling will reduce ambiguity and align with real-world usage. Since the target title currently exists as a redirect, I am unable to move the page directly. • (Discuss):Bulang people → {{no redirect|Blang people}} – 'Blang' is the endonym of the ethnicity whilst 'Bulang' is an exonym rendition based of Chinese language. It would be unfair to the ethnicity to use a variant of its exonyms (and so do to other renditions like 'Plang' in Thai; where also exists a community of them in addition to China). Possibly, similar to how Nakhi people does not use Mandarin rendition 'Naxi'. Their language, Blang language, also uses Blang and not Bulang. -- Chainwit. • (Discuss):Persecution of Christians by the Islamic State → {{no redirect|Genocide of Christians by the Islamic State}} – Based on the sources, it is apparent that Christians are being subjected to genocide by the Islamic State. For example [https://www.uscirf.gov/sites/default/files/2024-09/2024%20Iraq%20Genocide%20Issue%20Brief.pdf here], the "On March 17, 2016, then Secretary of State John Kerry declared that ISIS had committed genocide and crimes against humanity against Yazidis, Christians, Shi’a Muslims, and others." This, along with the EU and UK parliaments' declarations, explicitly states that Christians are being subjected to genocide, along with Shi'a Muslims and Yazidis. As a matter of fact, a similar naming convention should be adopted for Persecution of Shias by the Islamic State. I understand that this has been discussed before, but I believe some serious reevaluation should be done regarding this without the extensive faulty logic. Not only is it definitionally genocide, but the persecution is cited as genocide by the US, EU, and UK. Yung Doohickey (talk) 20:53, 5 June 2025 (UTC)

  • (Discuss):Irish Water → {{no redirect|Uisce Éireann}} – Sorry for posting this less than 5 months after the previous discussion, but I think Uisce Éireann may have finally become this entity's WP:COMMONNAME. News reports seem to predominantly refer to it by its new name in the last few months, without the "formerly known as" or similar qualifier. That said, there are still some (mostly local/regional) news organisations that seem to refer to it as Irish Water, and there are a few examples of reports quoting an individual person who referred to it as Irish Water. * A Google News Search for "uisce éireann" gives 4,670 results in the past month. * A Google News Search for "irish water" gives 22,100 results in the past month. However, in many instances, the entity is in fact referred to as Uisce Éireann, but the article is included in the search results because it contains a reference to "Irish water supplies" or similar, or the article is included in a legacy "Irish Water" category/tag on the website in question. There are also unrelated articles about things like the Irish water polo cup, Irish water companies and Irish water safety. Only five out of the first 150 headlines actually refer to this entity as Irish Water. * A Google News Search for "irish water" -uisce -éireann (i.e. articles containing the phrase "irish water" but excluding the words "uisce" or "éireann" gives 1,350 results in the past month. Obviously this isn't a perfect sample either, because it will exclude articles that refer to "Irish Water (officially Uisce Éireann)" or similar. These results also contain a high number of unrelated articles about Irish water polo, Irish water safety and Irish water bodies. Gatepainter (talk) 12:29, 5 June 2025 (UTC)

  • (Discuss)Little River, Banks Peninsula → {{no redirect|Little River, New Zealand}} – I'm questioning a recent, undiscussed move. But rather than reverting the undiscussed move, as WP:RMTR allows, we might as well have a discussion about the matter. And either way, it needs discussing anyway. Little River is a disambiguation page, hence the two geographic features in New Zealand with this name both need to be disambiguated. The town and the river share this name. The New Zealand naming conventions are clear that we disambiguate towns, if there's only one, but a dab is needed, by adding ", New Zealand". For rivers, we add "(New Zealand)". As such, the recent move has broken this rule. Under point 5 of the heading "Disambiguation of New Zealand place names", it says in the last bullet: {{tq|If the two places are different types of place, then parentheses are used to disambiguate (for example, "Lake Tekapo" and "Lake Tekapo (town)"). (This convention is not formalised, but is general usage on NZ articles.)}} The only issue here is that both items need disambiguation. {{u|Cloventt}}'s rationale for moving was that an editor confused the river with the town. There are hatnotes on both article to clarify which is which, but those can of course be overlooked. Hence, the question is whether we should have non-standard disambiguation, or should we accept that once in a blue moon, somebody confuses the two articles? I'd say that the latter isn't a big deal. A slightly different approach would be to (also) move Little River (New Zealand) to Little River (New Zealand river). Personally, I don't think that's necessary, but I've included this in the move request so that it can be discussed as an option, and that a move notice be placed on the relevant talk page. As an aside, the other geographic items with identical names but different features, where both are clearly notable, are Kerikeri Inlet. There are both a town (Kerikeri Inlet (town)) and an inlet of this name; the latter does not have an article yet (and the town aricle is technically mistitled as there's nothing to disambiguate yet, but that's an aside to an aside). So we may wish to record the outcome of this discussion somewhere at WP:NCNZ, as it will be needed again. Schwede66 05:19, 4 June 2025 (UTC)

Tons of historical and geographical sources—including even Pakistani sites—recognize Kunar River as the correct name. The recent rename doesn’t match up with official records or maps. I’ve got sources that prove the name Kunar, and I’ve listed them below. Changing it back keeps things historically accurate and consistent with what’s been used by local communities and international maps. Plus, Kunar River has been a key part of the region’s identity for centuries, with deep cultural significance for the people living along its banks. Preserving its name respects this heritage and maintains continuity."

  • (Discuss):Sikkimese Bhutia language → {{no redirect|Bhutia language}} – The term "Bhutia language" is more accurate and widely accepted by the local Sikkimese population. The current title, "Sikkimese Bhutia language," is misleading and may create the false impression that this language is representative of all of Sikkim, which is not the case. Sikkim is home to diverse communities including Lepcha, Rai, Limboo, Tamang, and other Nepali communities , who have coexisted harmoniously for generations. Portraying the Bhutia language as "Sikkimese Bhutia language" risks marginalizing other communities and misrepresenting the linguistic diversity of the region. Such a title may unintentionally hurt the sentiments of other Sikkimese groups. The term "Bhutia language" is already commonly used and recognized both within Sikkim and in academic contexts. Therefore, renaming the article to "Bhutia language" would be a more neutral, accurate, and inclusive choice.Kkk1996 (talk) 22:00, 1 June 2025 (UTC)

  • (Discuss)Spider-Man (video game series)Marvel's Spider-Man – Making a formal move request following the recent discussion at WT:VG. Pinging everyone who contributed to that discussion: {{ping|Zxcvbnm|ImaginesTigers|Masem|silviaASH|SnowFire}}. I recommend looking through that discussion, but here's a summary of the rationale: *The video games are the primary topic for the title Marvel's Spider-Man, as clearly demonstrated by the sources and search results. *Concerns have been raised about the ambiguity of the title, but that specific title only refers to two things (the games and a TV series), and anything else it could refer to is adequately covered by the regular Spider-Man disambiguation, eliminating the need for a disambiguation page at this title. **If consensus to keep the current dab arises, then moving Spider-Man (video game series) to Marvel's Spider-Man (video game series) should still be considered owing to all the remaining reasons. *The games are commonly referred to both with and without the Marvel's prefix, but using it is more natural disambiguation, represents the true title, and removes the need to use the years, which are less natural for readers (most people don't keep track of when games were released). *WP:Consistent with the precedent set by articles such as Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Marvel's Avengers (video game), and even Marvel's Wolverine within the same franchise. Also List of accolades received by Marvel's Spider-Man. *Also consistent with :Category:Marvel's Spider-Man and Template:Marvel's Spider-Man. *Marvel's Spider-Man is the official name, and using only Spider-Man could lead to more ambiguity issues, for example with the 2002–07 games series. *The series and games are always referred to in prose using the full title with Marvel's. 9ninety (talk) 15:20, 1 June 2025 (UTC)

  • (Discuss):Morning dew (disambiguation)morning dew (disambiguation) – Unnecessary " (disambiguation)". The base topic is "dew" AKA "morning dew" (lowercase), the first list entry on the DAB page. The capitalized items (the lead entry, which is the primary topic for Morning Dew but not morning dew, and other list entries) are songs and a ship, and maybe more will turn up later. Given the mixed-case entries, morning dew is the appropriate title for the DAB page, we just don't need the parenthetical tacked onto it. Everyone looking for a song or ship knows that's capitalized (if they're competent to be using an English-language encyclopedia), and if they bork it up anyway, the entries at the DAB page will get them where they're intending to go.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  12:02, 1 June 2025 (UTC)

  • (Discuss):2025 killing of Israeli Embassy workers in Washington, D.C. → {{no redirect|2025 Capital Jewish Museum shooting}} – - Much of the discussion below was split into two categories: a) an immediate need to change the grammatically nonsensical title the article initially had, and b) identifying whether the final correct article would be centered on the death of Israeli embassy workers, the Capital Jewish Museum venue, or the names of the two victims. As noted, there was a consensus to speedy move from the nonsense title to something, although no clear consensus was reached on precisely what to move the page to. The page was moved by an editor on the basis of WP:IAR. That resulted in a better page title, albeit not a consensus and not the result of a full, proper requested move procedure. The move brought the page name closer to the original move request. Now that that request has been effectively vitiated, I'm updating the request to propose moving to the museum name title. I'm not sure if this is the correct way to update the move request; if this update should be moved to the end of this talk section or otherwise reformatted, please do so. This seemed more logical than creating a wholly new move request and starting a new discussion of the same merits. The arguments for various proposed names are discussed at length below, with no clear consensus reached or, to me at least, immediately evident. Jbbdude (talk) 21:2evan0, 25 May 2025 (UTC) :Oppose, Oppose, Oppose - if there must be a change, the names of the two victims would be appropriate. • (Discuss):Astoria (recording studio)Astoria (houseboat)Astoria is a houseboat. Yes, she has a recording studio onboard, and yes, some epochal albums have been recorded and mixed in her studio, but a recording studio doesn't float on water. On the basis of WP:PRECISION (and basic ontology) Astoria should be described as a houseboat because she is one. I will declare my interests: I live about half a mile from Astoria, and can personally attest to her essential boatiness. I wrote most of the article for nearby Tagg's Island, including the sections on Fred Karno (first owner of Astoria). I am a middle-aged man who counts Pink Floyd among his favourite bands, and I was bitterly disappointed not to get tickets to the Luck and Strange shows at RAH. I note the contributions of editors who have duly recorded Astoria's linkage to Pink Floyd and Dave Gilmour, however Astoria did not hold a recording studio for the three-quarters of a century before Dave purchased her. There may yet come a time when Astoria no longer holds a recording studio, and begins a new chapter in her illustrious history. Either way, long may she grace the calm waters of the Thames, or any other body of water, as a boat should. Others would include: *David Haines (aid worker)Killing of David Haines The aforementioned three articles differ in having the phrasings "Killing of", "Kidnapping and murder of" or "Kidnapping and killing of". I generally lean towards the former for simplicity, but wouldn't mind either of the other two. The ones killed in Iraq and Afghanistan are already listed in the "Foreign hostages in x" articles and can probably be deleted if they're not considered noteworthy enough for their own articles in hindsight. • (Discuss)Niña → {{no redirect|Niña (ship)}} – No primary topic. Pageviews for Niña (ship), La Niña, and Niña (name), shows La Niña leads by ≈3:1. That's probably not enough to make La Niña, the weather phenomenon, primary by usage but it shows that the ship clearly is not. (Note that in Spanish, the ship is also called {{lang|es|la Niña}}.) Currently, La Niña redirects to a section of El Niño–Southern Oscillation. If we add that to Pageviews, La Niña is still #1 and Niña (ship) drops to third. • (Discuss):Kurmanji → {{no redirect|Northern Kurdish}} – The current title Kurmanji does not reflect the standard naming conventions used for Kurdish language varieties on wikipedia or in linguistic references. If we have Central Kurdish and Southern Kurdish, where is the Northern? WP:NATURAL states: {{tqq|Using an alternative name that the subject is also commonly called in English reliable sources, albeit not as commonly as the preferred-but-ambiguous title, is sometimes preferred}}. WP:SUBTITLE supports this by noting: {{tqq|When the most commonly used name is ambiguous, the full title and subtitle might be suitable to be used as a form of natural disambiguation}}. Finally, WP:NCDAB writes: {{tqq|Natural disambiguation that is unambiguous, commonly used, and clear is generally preferable to parenthetical disambiguation}}. For example, the official title of Rogue One is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but we omit the franchise-denoting subtitle per WP:CONCISE and WP:COMMONNAME; on the other hand, although a more ideal title for Solo: A Star Wars Story would be simply Solo, it requires parenthetical disambiguation in the form of Solo (2018 American film), so per NCDAB, we opt for the full title even though it is less common and concise. Likewise, although Ahsoka and The Acolyte are indeed most preferable, their full titles provide natural disambiguation. This is consistent with other Star Wars spin-offs such as Star Wars: The Bad Batch and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, whose shortened titles would similarly require parenthetical disambiguation. It is also prevalent beyond Star Wars, for example Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio — but Hobbs & Shaw and Wake Up Dead Man because no disambiguation is necessary. To address potential concerns with ambiguity, as {{-r|Star Wars: Ahsoka}} currently points to Ahsoka (disambiguation) for some reason, it is highly unlikely for someone to refer to the character (Ahsoka Tano) as "Star Wars: Ahsoka", while the only other primary-topic contender (Ahsoka (novel)) is clearly far less notable; as for {{-r|Star Wars: The Acolyte}}, it already redirects to the TV series since no other Star Wars–related article contains "Acolyte" in its title. However, Transnistria conflict is a separate article from Transnistria War with a wider scope, time-wise. • (Discuss):Life of Samuel Johnson → ? – There appears to be various titles of this book, depending on the source. The current article is inconsistent: title says "Life of Samuel Johnson" but lead sentence says "The Life of Samuel Johnson, LL.D." Here are the titles and their potential cases: * The Life of Samuel Johnson, LL.D. Looking at this [https://www.peterharrington.co.uk/the-life-of-samuel-johnson-163220.html first edition], the original title appears to be "The Life of Samuel Johnson, LL.D." This is the same title used by [https://www.britannica.com/topic/The-Life-of-Samuel-Johnson-LLD Britannica]. * Life of Samuel Johnson This is the current title of the Wikipedia article, and according to [https://scholar.google.com/scholar?start=0&q=%22Life+of+Samuel+Johnson%22&hl=en&as_sdt=0,5 Google Scholar], it is a name sometimes used for the book. * Life of Samuel Johnson, LL.D This is the name that appears on the infobox image, it also appears on some results in Scholar. * The Life of Samuel Johnson The name used by [https://www.oxfordreference.com/display/10.1093/acref/9780192806871.001.0001/acref-9780192806871-e-4047 The Oxford Companion to English Literature]. • (Discuss):Decolonization of the Americas → {{no redirect|European withdrawal from the Americas}} – "Decolonization" is an extremely loaded and controversial word to employ when talking about the article content. The decolonization article itself says "The meanings and applications of the term are disputed." This particularly holds in the Americas, where there are zero independent indigenous countries. Is that actually decolonization? Some might argue yes, others might argue no. My point is not that it isn't decolonization, but that the question of whether it was decolonization creates problems. Therefore, I propose the page title be changed to this descriptive title that avoids controversy. Evaporation123 (talk) 23:09, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

  • (Discuss)Kalotermitidae → {{no redirect|Drywood termite}} – Per WP:COMMONNAME. Disclosure: I'm initiating this on behalf of my bug-enthusiast friend User:Bardusquus at their request as they're less familiar with the RM process. If both of us participate in this RM, please do not count us separately when closing for the purpose of determining consensus. In their view, "Drywood termite" and "Subterranean termite" are more recognizable and commonly used names than Kalotermitidae and Heterotermitidae. While I am personally too ignorant of this subject matter to have informed opinions on these proposals, Google Trends data demonstrates that the proposed names are more commonly used: [https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=Kalotermitidae,Drywood%20termite&hl=en-US Kalotermitidae vs Drywood termite], [https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&q=Heterotermitidae,Subterranean%20termite&hl=en-US Heterotermitidae vs Subterrranean termite]. • (Discuss):Zapatista territories → {{no redirect|Rebel Zapatista Autonomous Municipalities}} – After the Rebel Zapatista Autonomous Municipalities (MAREZ) were dissolved in 2023 and reorganised into the Local Autonomous Governments (GAL), there was quite a bit of debate over the scope of this article in its talk page. Discussions were had about possibly expanding the scope of this article and moving it to a different title, with various different titles thrown out, but no formalised discussion was had on that. My opinion at the time was that the scope of the article itself would need to substantially change and expand before any article move was carried out, although I proposed a broader article on "Zapatista autonomy" might be worth creating. On 19 March 2025, {{User|LaborHorizontal}} carried out a unilateral move of the article to "Zapatista territories" ([https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Zapatista_territories&diff=1281328649&oldid=1280911151 diff]). Despite the move being carried out ostensibly to expand the scope of the article, most of the article is still specifically about the MAREZ, so all that really changed was the title (creating confusion as to what this article is about). The term "Zapatista territories" also set off alarm bells in my head, due to previous issues with the use of "territory" in other article titles; I searched the term up on Google Scholar, and the term is indeed in use, but it is a largely informal term used to refer to the area controlled by the EZLN (or by Zapata's ELS), rather than any specific governance structures established there (which is what this article is about). As the scope of the article has not meaningfully changed enough to justify a move, in my mind at least, I'm proposing this be moved back to "Rebel Zapatista Autonomous Municipalities". I'd also separately propose that anything taking a broader view of the territory controlled by the EZLN be its own article, rather than subsuming this one. • (Discuss)Negative responsiveness → {{no redirect|Mono-raise criterion}} – Last year these three pages were moved from their earlier names of "Monotonicity criterion", "Consistency criterion", and "Reversal symmetry" (as was "Participation criterion"). Two of the stated justifications for these moves were that the terms "monotonicity" and "consistency" are vague and can mean multiple things and that the pages should be named consistently. But these changes created an inconsistency between these pages and the other pages on voting system criteria (which are named after the criteria themselves and not the paradoxes that occur when they are violated). And the vagueness of the terms "monotonicity" and "consistency" could be addressed by simply making the titles more specific. "Monotonicity criterion" could have been renamed "Mono-raise criterion" or "Monotonicity criterion (electoral systems)" and "Consistency criterion" could have been renamed "Join-consistency criterion" or "Consistency criterion (electoral systems)". As shown in the pages' histories, I tried to fix this. I moved "Best-is-worst paradox" back to "Reversal symmetry". I requested that "No-show paradox" be moved back to "Participation criterion", which later happened. I moved "Negative responsiveness" to "Mono-raise criterion" (which required editing to restore the page's earlier language). And I moved "Multiple districts paradox" to "Join-consistency criterion". However, the user who made the initial changes (Closed Limelike Curves) reversed most of what I did. They moved three of the pages back (but couldn't move back "Participation criterion") and reverted the aforementioned edits to the one page. I apologize if my actions have come across as aggressive, but in my opinion the pages "Participation criterion" and "Reversal symmetry" were fine under those names and the other two pages should have names that, while precise, are consistent with those of the other pages on voting system criteria. Discussion is welcome. But I do want to note that as it stands the page "Negative responsiveness" has the same paragraph (about monotonicity violations in proportional representation systems) appear twice in different sections. One of my reverted edits fixed this by removing one of the duplicates, and it would need to be fixed again in a future edit. I would do it myself, but I might as well let people first discuss which location is more appropriate for the paragraph. Thank you for your input. This clearly indicates that Jedi, Empire, and Underworld (be them three seasons or three wholly unique series) all exist as one singular "Tales" anthology series. Given Tales (TV series) already exists and is also an anthology series, and per the research {{u|Adamstom.97}} did in which there are other Star Wars media in comics, books, and video games, that also use the "Tales" title in some form, I am putting forth the requested title of Tales (Star Wars TV anthology) which provides full disambiguation from these other media. Note that this change is meant to cover the anthology information as its "main"/"franchise" page akin to American Horror Story. This is akin to arguing "Francis" gets more Google search results than "Pope Francis" so Pope Francis should be moved to Francis.

  • (Discuss)St-Laurent stationSt-Laurent station (Ottawa) – I’m not quite as sure with these suggestions as I am with Montréal stationMontréal station (Ottawa), but I did want to file another RM request just to see what others' thoughts on these page names. The first entry pair have very similar names, albeit utilizing each slightly different spellings based on the respective streets they are named after (those road articles could also maybe disambiguated). So maybe the current titles and hatnotes for the first two are fine? However, I do feel a bit more confident with the third entry. The current article title might imply it belongs in Lyon, France, and the hatnote does link to a section on the Lyon article which lists the railway stations there, none of which are simply named "Lyon" verbatim, but each has "Lyon" in their names. It’s similar to the Montreal station case in that perhaps having a dedicated disambiguation page for all the similarly named stations is preferable; i.e. Lyon stationLyon station (Ottawa) and Lyon station becomes the disambiguation page. • (Discuss):Weak n-category → {{no redirect|n-category}} – This is a proposal to rename the article to "n-cateogry" as well as to move the materials on a strict n-category from higher category theory to here. The reason: while there is a genuine difference, a strict n-cateogry and a strict n-weak category are both an attempt to articulate the concept of an n-cateogry. And, in general, the conceptual side should triumph against the strict mathematical definition side. That attitude is actually common in Wikipeida; when there are some variants in definitions, we don't create separate articles depending on variations. Also, discussing strict and weak versions at the same place should make it easier to discuss stuff like coherent theorems. Taku (talk) 06:38, 1 May 2025 (UTC)

After the move, they removed the part of the article devoted to the use of the term in integral calculus, probably because they consider unrelated the two uses of term (area conputation and integral computation). I edited recently the article, and the new version shows that the two meanings are deeply related and deserve to be explained in the same article. So, the present vesion of the article is no more restricted to geometry, and this makes the article title confusing. Also, AFAIK, the article covers presently all uses of "quadrature" in mathematics, and the proposed title is thus the most correct one. • (Discuss):Yellowstone (American TV series) → {{no redirect|Yellowstone (TV series)}} – Now that the series has concluded, it's a good time to revisit the case for partial disambiguation here. Users opposing this at the previous RM did not argue the article did not qualify for partial disambiguation, but instead were opposed to partial disambiguation in general; a RM discussion is not the venue for litigating that. That the American TV series meets the criteria for partial disambiguation is beyond doubt: over the last 5 years Yellowstone (American TV series) has [https://pageviews.wmcloud.org/?project=en.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=user&redirects=0&start=2020-04-03&end=2025-04-03&pages=Yellowstone_(American_TV_series) 32,375,718] views, for a daily average of 17,721; Yellowstone (British TV series) has [https://pageviews.wmcloud.org/?project=en.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=user&redirects=0&start=2020-04-03&end=2025-04-03&pages=Yellowstone_(British_TV_series) 33,963] views for a daily average of 19, thus the page view ratio is 953:1 over that span. The practical reason for this proposal, and for this aspect of the WP:INCDAB guideline, is that 99.9% of users searching Yellowstone (TV series) are seeking the American series and should be brought directly to that article rather than reach the disambiguation page, and a hatnote is the appropriate form of disambiguation for the 0.1% of users seeking the British series. For those users who disagree and are against any case of partial disambiguation having a primary topic, please initiate an RfC at an appropriate talk page rather than opposing an individual requested move on those grounds.
