{{User|Tempodivalse}} – Hallo, all. I am nominating myself to be an administrator. If elected, I would mostly use the tools for removing speedy-delete pages and fighting vandalism -- I have logged over 4k edits with Huggle and Twinkle, and am a new pages patroller. I daresay I've been rather active in the main namespace as well, with about 4000 edits there -- I've created several dozen music-related articles (many of them are admittedly stubs) and significantly improved larger articles such as Johann Strauss II, Karl Michael Ziehrer and Sarah Palin, as well as others. I'm also an admin and trusted user at the English Wikinews, so I can clearly be trusted with the sysop tools. Thanks. ♪Tempo di Valse ♪ 21:16, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
==Questions for the candidate==
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
:1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?
::A: As I said in the nomination, mostly for patrolling new pages and checking to see if anything qualifies for speedy deletion; WP:AIV and WP:ANI would certainly go on my watchlist too. I would also keep an eye on WP:RFP.
:2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
::A: Probably my contributions to music-related articles, such as Johann Strauss II or Karl Michael Ziehrer; I have created about thirty musical-composition articles too. I have also wikified several hundred articles listed at :Category:Articles that need to be wikified.
:3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
::A: No conflicts that I can remember, everything has been pretty smooth in that regard.

- Support per User:A_Nobody#RfA_Standards. I like that the candidate has some userpage barnstars and is already an administrator on Wikinews per the candidate's userpage. Best, --A NobodyMy talk 22:14, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- Support - There's absolutely nothing to suggest that Tempodivalse would abuse the tools. As an added bonus, he's already familiar with the bit on another project. –Juliancolton Talk · Review 22:23, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

- 4.5k edits in one month (December) with very little activity since then was a warning sign. "I have logged over 4k edits with Huggle and Twinkle" is hardly a proud boast (I'd have kept that quiet to be honest and hoped people didn't notice), and the disturbing arrogance (in my view) of "I'm also an admin and trusted user at the English Wikinews, so I can clearly be trusted with the sysop tools" (bolding mine) tipped me over the edge. No thanks. Pedro : Chat 22:04, 25 March 2009 (UTC)\
- :If he's a sysop on another Wikimedia project, I view that as a sure sign of trust, not arrogance. –Juliancolton Talk · Review 22:19, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- ::If he'd said "I'm a sysop on wikinews so I know how the tools work" I'd have seen it as a big plus, and maybe overlooked the boast about the machine edits and horribly sparse Q1 (that incidentaly contains nothing that can't be done without admin tools - watching can be done by any editor). The point, of course, is that Tempodivalse stormed in with a "you can self evidently trust me" argument - which makes me not trust him whatsoever. Trust is earned, not assumed. Pedro : Chat 22:24, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- ::::I was most certainly not trying to be arrogant, please see my comment below. I only said I was a sysop on another wiki because I thought it would be a sign of trust, as Juliancolton said. I've withdrawn this request. Looks like I have to work a little more on my English so people won't misunderstand me like this. Best regards, ♪Tempo di Valse ♪ 23:25, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose Per Pedro, it may not be true but it makes you sound arrogant.--Giants27 T/C 22:09, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose - I concur that it sounds arrogant, and you are lacking enough manual edits for me to be able to tell whether you would make a good enough administrator at this time. Questions to answers are a bit terse, too, and the answer to Q1 doesn't list anything which a user without the bit could do. No prejudice for future RfAs, though. — neuro(talk)(review) 22:41, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose - Just scrolling down the list of the last 500 contributions, I saw nearly nothing except vandal reversions and warnings with Huggle. There's nothing wrong with RC, but it seems that you do not have the experience you will need to handle the tools in the most efficient way. I'm not suggesting you'll abuse the tools, but that you would be better with them in a few months, perhaps. I suggest broadening your horizons. I hope this helps, and regards, Jd027 (talk) 22:52, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- Weak oppose per Pedro, that you are coming across as somewhat arrogant. That's not a quality I'd like to see in an administrator here. —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 23:15, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- :Comment You misunderstood me, I was not trying to be arrogant at all -- I very much apologise if I appeared so. I only mentioned that I had sysop status because I thought it would suggest that I know how the tools work, and it would show that I am already trusted, so I would not do anything untowardly with them. I should have perhaps elaborated more on that. Once again, my apoloigies if I sounded arrogant or boastful, that was not my intent, all I wanted to show was that I felt I had enough experience to become an admin. I've withdrawn my request, perhaps I will try again later. Best regards, ♪Tempo di Valse ♪ 23:20, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Decreasing edits through time is a small concern to me since things come up in life to pull us away. But im not swayed. 8 months to me seems early, Iknow its allowed in the guidlines but can i be directed to something about knowledge about wiki policies? Ottawa4ever (talk) 23:34, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
