• Supporting evidence: Fits the pattern of the banned User:Ron liebman and his many sockpuppets - introducing unreferenced trivia into articles; and impersonating another user - in this case the since-retired admin User:IrishGuy. Made a couple of edits a year ago, then nothing until today. Articles edited match those frequently edited by Liebman. I've been advised by admin User:Wknight94 to file a checkuser request. We haven't done this in a while so I thought it might be a good time to look for sleeper socks and maybe an IP or two. {{checkuser|Ron liebman}} is an old banned user that has haunted Wikipedia for a few years now. He has continued to create socks at an impressive rate and has gone from simple misinformation to downright harassment and feeble impersonation attempts, geared mostly at {{checkuser|Baseball Bugs}}, {{checkuser|Ebyabe}}, {{checkuser|No Guru}}, and {{checkuser|Georgewilliamherbert}}. Above are just a few of the most recent at :Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Ron liebman and I've deleted dozens of others per WP:DENY. Ron has recently popped up on his talk page ( User talk:Ron liebman#Unblock request ) asking to be unblocked and apologizing and claiming that the flood of lookalikes really were not him. See also AN discussion: WP:AN#Block review for Ron liebman

While discussions were underway there, two more apparent socks have popped up today ( {{user5|Ken raffensberger}} and {{user5|Steve grinberg}} ).

For the record, and to try and disambiguate the unblock request claims of Ron not being associated with the others, I would like to request a Checkuser check on the accounts used between the previous CU and today, including the two recent socks which appeared since Ron started asking for an unblock.

"Ron" (and accomplices?) have been widely vandalizing mostly baseball articles (Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Ron liebman) for roughly 2 weeks. Many of the edits have come from IP addresses known to be at New York City public libraries. I would like to run a confirmatory check on the named accounts to verify that this is all one incident. This may be unnecessary; most of the accounts above are indef'ed already by me; but given that the incident is still active as of yesterday and today (new account yesterday, IP vandal today) I think it's worth confirming with CU.
