  • Supporting evidence: User:Yankees76 was involved in a serious case of Wikistalking by User:Messenger2010 and a large number of sockpuppets. There has been one confirmed RFCU case originating frmo this already [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_checkuser/Case/Messenger2010]. Today Yankees76 requested that User:MZMcBride who originally protected his user page and removed personal information previously posted about him in 2006, to unprotect his user page. Within an hour the personal material removed in 2006 was reposted by a new user User:Wanceez67. On Wikipedia, this personal information had been stored in the edit history of User:Yankaas76 - since removed by User:Tony Fox. Yankees76 has asked me to inquire if like in the case of the previous request, if users who haven't been tagged can be uncovered using IP evidence, as he feels that only an active sockpuppet of Messenger2010 who has his user page on their watchlist would have been able to uncover and post the personal information so quickly after Yankees76's userpage was unblocked. Yankees76 feels that he his being Wikistalked and his considering leaving the project if this harrassment cannot be stopped. Unfortuneately, all supporting evidence of the posting of the personal information, and it's original source on the Yankaas76 page has been removed by User:MZMcBride and User:Tony Fox.

Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents#Help_for_a_fellow_Editor as well.

A search through Yankees76's talk page archives however, will uncover much harrassment from sockpuppets of Messenger2010, an individual who has also harrassed an admin, User:Glen as User:Yankeesin2007 and User:LorenzoPerosi1898. I'm afraid I've never posted an RFCU, so please forgive me if I've missed anything. Much of this went on before I joined Wikipedia. Thanks. --Quartet 23:47, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

:*To provide some supporting comments, it's quite obvious that someone was camping and watching Yankees76' user page, and knew where the previous information was available in the history of the other impersonator's userpage. There's certainly an organized group of some sort here with harassment as a goal, and likely another account lurking with Yankees76' user page watchlisted. A checkuser will help to hopefully eliminate this harassment at the source. Tony Fox (arf!) 23:59, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

:Yankaas76 and ‎Messenger2010 are {{staleIP}}; ‎Wanceez67 is a {{confirmed}} match with {{checkuser|Randees76}}. Will continue searching, beyond that. I do see some possibilities, but don't plan on revealing them at this time unless I find something more specific (sorry). – Luna Santin (talk) 09:46, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
