This user is playing silly buggers with multiple accounts on Gmail, and has been disruptive in other ways, such as removing the sock tag from User:Pc12345. Please confirm the connection and identify any other accounts. We need to restrict this user to one account and prevent them from further edit warring or disruption. Jehochman Talk 23:19, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- It would help if you were more specific than "silly buggers", such as "3 reverts in 24 hours and 5 reverts in 30 hours") or whatever it turns out to be. Thatcher 00:04, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- {{confirmed}}, also {{user|Herowiki101}}. Thatcher 00:09, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- I have blocked the main account for one week, and indeffed the other two. Note that the user triple voted at Wikipedia:Featured topic candidates/Star Wars episodes. Jehochman Talk 00:27, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- I reported this a few weeks ago with no action taken. I'm glad something's been done now. Gary King (talk) 01:17, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the initial report. I've been watching since then. As matters deteriorated, action became necessary. A little patience can help avoid false positives. Jehochman Talk 01:21, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
:: Although to be fair, this user seems to be me to be a young person, about 10 years old or so, but not much older. I had a few conversations with the user before, when I tried to explain a few things around here. The user seems to only be interested in updating numbers; I ran into them on Wikipedia updating the total number of articles on Wikipedia every few hours. All of the user's edits seem to be in good faith. A one week ban seems maybe a tad harsh for me, maybe. The user just needs some guidance early on.
:: For instance, the user added Featured Article stars to all of the articles in a Featured Topic, thinking that if a topic became Featured, then all of the articles in it would be considered Featured, also. Not really vandalism; I just explained how it worked to them, and they took it kindly. Just my two cents. I'd also like to just note that my last conversation with this user was a few weeks ago, so I'm not sure what they did since then that may warrant a block. Gary King (talk) 01:34, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
I have offered to unblock them early. I became concerned when they harassed User:Gwernol. Now a User:Poison12346 has appeared to continue the harassment. Thatcher, before I unblock, can you reassure me this is not the same editor? I have doubts as to whether this is just a prankster.Jehochman Talk 03:26, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
: I suspect it's not the same person; the person vandalized the admin's page because the admin posted a warning on the user's talk page. Gary King (talk) 04:12, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- Poison123456 is {{unrelated}}. Thatcher 12:11, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
