  • {{checkuser|1=One Ton Depot}}

  • [http://toolserver.org/~betacommand/cgi-bin/uc?uc=One%20Tone%20Depot User compare report] Auto-generated every hour.

Both are users engaged mainly with template editing. Alarbus registered around the date for One Ton's last edit. Both display a condescending and antagonistic attitude towards other editors. ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 14:19, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

:I agree they their edits are clearly divided between non-overlapping topics, which is a problem for showing behavioral similarity of course.

  • They have very similar userpage designs. (also not conclusive of course)·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 15:15, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Here are some funny coincidences:

  • Tendency to refer to other's contributions as "regressive":

One Ton Depot: [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:One_Ton_Depot&diff=prev&oldid=457762749]

Alarbus:[http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Ernest_Hemingway&diff=prev&oldid=462113348], [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Truthkeeper88&diff=prev&oldid=463747654]

  • To those attempting discussion on their talk pages:"You're on the wrong page":

  • {{clerknote}} Sorry, you're going to have to do etter than that. They both have a lot of edits under their belts, but only [http://toolserver.org/~mzmcbride/stalker/?db=enwiki_p&user1=One+Ton+Depot&user2=Alarbus two non-user pages] in common. Lots of editors edit templates and are also condescending, so what would link these two? — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 15:05, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the clarification. Based on the behaviors listed above, I'm endorsing for a check. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 19:24, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
  • The evidence is a little borderline sketchy/FISHING-y, really. However, I do see serial socking which may be borderline WP:SCRUTINY here, and I've no idea who the sock master is, if any. Ok, the following are {{confirmed}} as being from the same editor/computer;

:*{{Checkuser|Alarbus}}

:*{{Checkuser|Blue-bottle}}

:*{{Checkuser|Portuguese Man o' War}}

: Other than the links above, I'm not seeing a whole lot of interaction. To avoid issues in future, I'd strongly recommend the editor stick to a single account - Alison 04:11, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

::Alright, so I've blocked and tagged Blue-bottle and Portuguese, and I'm going to leave a note with Alarbus. Can you comment on whether or not there's a connection to One Ton Depot? — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 04:26, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

::: Oh - I'm sorry, yes there is. {{confirmed}} I'm out of practice just a little :) - Alison 04:31, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

::::Heh, that's alright. I've blocked and tagged One Ton Depot as well. For the purposes of this I'm going to consider Alarbus the master as it's got the most edits. We're done for now. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 04:38, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

  • [http://toolserver.org/~betacommand/cgi-bin/uc?uc=Alarbus User compare report] Auto-generated every hour.

The IP happened to run into a dispute about template colors with an editor that Alarbus was in a similar dispute with less than a week ago. I block the IP and Alarbus logs on the first time today and goes straight to the IPs talkpage, simulating a conversation with the IP. This seems like classic deceptive use of multiple accounts, with the sharpening circumstance that Alarbus were clearly targeting specific editors for harrassment. C/U evidence would cinch the case even though it's pretty clear cut already. ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 03:02, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

December 11 {{User|Truthkeeper88}} and {{User|Modernist}} create this article and in the process change this template which 186.73.132.154 promptly reverts. The IP then follows modernist to various templates reverting his edits over a minor color issue. Modernist suspects that the user is Alarbus, who is known to have a grudge against Truthkeeper88 and has a record of editwarring over template colors - he posts to my talkpage. I block the IP at 02.33 and at 02:36 Alarbus makes his first edit in 6 hours to the IP's talkpage. ·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 03:11, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

:* {{User|Alarbus}} is {{unrelated}} to the IP mentioned above, for a number of different reasons. The IP, by the way, traces to Cable & Wireless, Panama but doesn't appear to be an open proxy, from what I can see. There are no other accounts behind the IP, from what I can see - Alison 04:08, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

Identical editing styles, and edit summaries

User:Tycho Magnetic Anomaly-1/common.js closely mirrors User:Alarbus/common.js

I'm not certain what is supposed to be done in this situation. Although there is no contributions overlap or obvious abuse, there was a strong recommendation to stick to one account at the last sockpuppet investigation. I don't see why two accounts are necessary when the purpose of each account appears to be the same. DrKiernan (talk) 22:20, 22 March 2012 (UTC)

Hmm. There's a {{possible}} technical connection, but the behavior (edit summaries, topics) is close enough to make me think they're connected. TNXMan 14:06, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Is there any other evidence aside from the fact that they have the same common.js pages? I ask because the editing patterns and behaviors seem rather far off, at least from my perspective. --MuZemike 18:41, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

:The edit summaries are nearly identical, for one. TNXMan 14:07, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

:I suspect the similarity in edit summaries is as a result of a script in their common.js; it's not an unusual pattern, and I've seen several other editors with nearly identical summaries. Risker (talk) 22:50, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
