User:Vugaris has created an apparent autobiography which is now at AfD, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vugar Ismailov. Early on he created two obvious sock accounts: User:Star the beautyyy made [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Vugar_Ismailov&oldid=738486854 an edit] to the talk page of the article, which User:Vugaris, then erased from there, [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AVugar_Ismailov&type=revision&diff=738635692&oldid=738486854], and then the exact same edit [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Vugar_Ismailov&diff=prev&oldid=738645992] was shortly thereafter made by User:Boorey1 to the AfD page. Then I gave a warning to User:Vugaris at his talk page [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AVugaris&type=revision&diff=738677084&oldid=738342049] about inappropriateness of creating sock accounts. For a while User:Vugaris did participate in the AfD constructively, but recently he engaged in disruptive behavior such as attempting to repeatedly blank the AfD page, for which he was given a warning by admin David Eppstein. Shortly after that, the sock account User:Boorey1 reappeared with another post, [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Vugar_Ismailov&diff=prev&oldid=739418349]. I feel that, even taking into consideration that User:Vugaris is a newbie and that his feeling have understandably been hurt in this AfD, he has been given more than enough rope here, and that it is time to apply sanctions. I request a checkusuer be run on all three accounts. Nsk92 (talk) 15:53, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
==<big>Comments by other users</big>==
I do not see any logic in User:Nsk92's words. Because by this logic, if I had deleted User:Nsk92's post and had asked somebody else to place it in some different place, then User:Nsk92 himself could have been considered to be a sock account.
I blanked my article and Afd because I did not want this article discussed any longer. Maybe I did not know the rules. But if User:Boorey1 placed a post in AfD discussions page and User:Nsk92 did not like it, this cannot be a reason for blocking User:Boorey1's account (not speaking about User:Star the beautyyy's account).
Please block my account if it is necessary, but do not block two other accounts. They are not mine. As I wrote in Afd page we all work together and are three different persons. Don't block their accounts, only because they shared their opinions on the article I created. Vugaris (talk) 17:51, 14 September 2016 (UTC)

- The following accounts are {{confirmed}}:
- {{checkuser|Star the beautyyy}}
- {{checkuser|Vugaris}}
- {{checkuser|Boorey1}}
- {{checkuser|AynuraJafarova}}
- Of the first three accounts, Star the beautyyy is the oldest. However, AynuraJafarova is significantly older than anyone. AynuraJafarova focused on creating an article about another professor at the same institution.
- Whether the accounts are owned by separate individuals or by one person or a combination of the two is impossible to tell. Most of the servers being used aren't traditionally public or institutional. One of them probably is. Regardless, the editing by these accounts is unacceptable per Wikipedia policy. At most, only one account should remain. I'll leave it to a clerk to sort out how best to achieve that result.--Bbb23 (talk) 20:21, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
- Socks indeffed, master blocked for 2 weeks. Case moved to the oldest account's name. Closing. Vanjagenije (talk) 21:15, 14 September 2016 (UTC)

Another SPI case for this sock-master has just closed, with an extensive disruption in this AfD. Very shortly afterwards, this new SPA account, Theodor102, pops right up, and with his very first edit[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Vugar_Ismailov&diff=prev&oldid=739665106], goes right to this AfD and makes a pretty dubious claim there. Perhaps I am getting jumpy, but given what happened in this AfD for the past week it is not too far a jump. I request a checker be run on this new account. If sock puppetry is confirmed, please semi-protect the AfD page for a while, at least until the AfD is closed. Nsk92 (talk) 09:19, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

- Admin action needed - Noting the listed suspected sock has been indefinitely blocked, for [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Vugar_Ismailov&diff=739713787&oldid=739707050], please also block {{checkuser| Arctic5}}. Semiprotection is recommended, but for the future, filer, please go to WP:RFP. Thanks. Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 14:03, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
:*I've blocked and tagged Arctic5, reverted their edits at the AfD, and semi-protected the AfD for a week, which should be more than enough.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:57, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

Recreation of just deleted per AfD page Vugar Ismailov. Already tagged G4 and G5. I also placed a request at RPP for salting the title. Nsk92 (talk) 08:14, 17 September 2016 (UTC)

The story started at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vugar Ismailov. The article in question, Vugar Ismailov was ultimately deleted, but there was massive disruption during the AfD by sock puppets, see the archive of this very SPI case. That's why the article title eventually had to be salted. At the conclusion of the AfD I explained to one of the socks User:Vmash, what the proper procedure for restoring the article would be after the block for the sock-master account expired, see my comments at User talk:Vmash. I explained that, once unblocked, the sock-master account would have to file a request at WP:DRV to re-create the article. On October 4 Vmash filed an unblock request [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AVmash&type=revision&diff=742593183&oldid=739983614] which was denied, and on October 6 the account User:Writer278 was created. This account, User:Writer278, then created a draft article Draft:Vugar Ismailov and has just filed a DRV request at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2016 November 6 to re-create the Vugar Ismailov article in mainspace. In this DRV request User:Writer278 avoided any mention of sock puppetry during the AfD. When asked directly to comment on this point there, the response[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2016_November_6&diff=prev&oldid=748146976] by User:Writer278 avoided the issue as well. It seems highly likely to me that User:Writer278 is also a sock associated with this SPI case. I request that a check user be run on this account. Thanks, Nsk92 (talk) 18:45, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Yes, I created a draft article Draft:Vugar Ismailov. When I saw that I could not move it to Vugar Ismailov (since that article is protected from creation), I went to User:Sandstein for help (see my comments at User talk:Sandstein). He/she advised me to convince the editors at WP:DRV. That is why I requested for a deletion review. Writer278 (talk) 19:31, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
