Fnagaton and Glider87 both showed up at the Thanksgiving article and have been reverting the article to the same version ([http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Thanksgiving&action=historysubmit&diff=462863982&oldid=462863622 Exhibit One], [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Thanksgiving&action=historysubmit&diff=462992031&oldid=462979024 Exhibit Two]). Both individuals happen to support the same proposition at the talk page and are refusing to enter mediation when requested by other editors, who also [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AThanksgiving&action=historysubmit&diff=473632161&oldid=473622415 agree] that the two users are sockpuppets. Both users are single purpose accounts with minimal edit counts and have edited the exact same articles (such as Thanksgiving and Hard disk drive). AnupamTalk 04:56, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

  • Both of these accounts are at least three years old and have at least 500 edits apiece, but there is a lot of overlap in their edits on very specific articles, so I'm adding on a CU to check to see if they're the same. My guess is that Glider87 is Fnagaton's alternate account that s/he uses as necessary... — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 15:39, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
  • The technical data is {{inconclusive}}, due to proxy use. TNXMan 15:58, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
  • {{clerknote}} Ugh, well, that's not helpful. Proxying is certainly suspicious, and I hope that those proxies were blocked. I'm hesitant to block without concrete evidence, however, so I'm closing for now. Relist if more obvious evidence crops up. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 04:21, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

First, when glider87 first joined wikipedia, he immediately jumped into a content dispute and an AFD that fnagaton was involved in, and was clearly familiar with Wikipedia policy

[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&dir=prev&offset=20090309141216&tagfilter=&contribs=user&target=Fnagaton&namespace=][https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions/Glider87&dir=prev&target=Glider87]

Since then, they have participated in frequent tag-team edit warring, two recent examples:[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Dates_and_numbers&action=history][https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Quantities_of_bytes&action=history]

And here's where it gets weird. Looking at all edits on Wikichecker, they have some bizarre similarities. Three bizarre similarities. First, they clearly go to sleep and wake up at approximately the same time. Second, if they stay up late, they only stay up late on a saturday (well, at least in the time zone that wikichecker is using). Third, they take long wikibreaks at the exact same time, and the bulk of their activity occurs at the same time. Specifically, both accounts have been highly active in April 2011, November 2011 to February 2012, and July and August of this year, with long periods of inactivity inbetween.

I see no way to explain this other than sockpuppetry. Someguy1221 (talk) 09:49, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

  • The behavior and violations by these accounts has been so egregious and poisoning over several years, ever since their creation for a single editing purpose (to prevent usage of binary unit prefixes) that BOTH accounts should be blocked indefinitely and their master be found. History shows us that Fnagaton is only going to reemerge from the block and continue the identical tirades with the same activities. These accounts have only a single purpose, a purpose which contradicts the principles of the entire project. Their highly probably master has been creating other sock accounts for other editing purposes to defend the masters editing activities. The behavior is rather clear. The intellectual dishonesty committed by this person is inexcusable. Kbrose (talk) 12:37, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
