First of all, the two usernames are vaguely similar - "Loki Asgardian" starts with the same letters and sounds somewhat like "Lokeshwaran" when said out loud. Secondly, the current user Loki Asgardian seems to edit in much the same areas as Lokeshwaran V R (predominantly Indian transport articles and similar), and has also has a similar habit of making undiscussed potentially controversial moves - in particular changing the name of Bangalore to the official name Bengaluru, which Wikipedia hasn't yet done. In one case, [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bengaluru_Metropolitan_Transport_Corporation&diff=1104261410&oldid=1104243349 this move by Loki Asgardian] is identical to [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bengaluru_Metropolitan_Transport_Corporation&diff=1059758612&oldid=1059758579 this move by Lokeshwaran V R]. In 247 edits so far since creating an account in late July, Loki Asgardian has edited [https://sigma.toolforge.org/editorinteract.py?users=Lokeshwaran+V+R&users=Loki+Asgardian&users=&startdate=&enddate=&ns=&server=enwiki 13 of the same pages] that Lokeshwaran V R edited. My hunch is that this is the same editor, but I'm not certain enough to issue a straight block and requesting second opinions here. {{ping|Dennis Brown}} you blocked Lokeshwaran V R back in January for disruptive editing and page moves against consensus, perhaps you might also comment on whether this looks like the same editor to you. - The move logs look like clones of each other, the accounts line up time wise, I would say yes, it's a duck but there is enough linkage to justify a CU look, and create a record, as I don't think he's going to give up. He never even appealed the first block, just waited a bit and created the 2nd one. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 23:01, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- I've indef'ed, but I'm out of time to look at edits and unwind whatever page-move disruption. DMacks (talk) 16:05, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
:Looks like the sock-account's are all unwound now, and some move-protected. The master account has a bunch of page-moves that could use some eyes. DMacks (talk) 16:32, 28 August 2022 (UTC)

The previous SPI saw two editors blocked for sockpuppetry, with excessive page moves on the Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal and other pages, and a general interest in the subject of transport in Bangalore being the common evidence. The first editor Lokeshwaran Vela has pretty much the same username as the original sockmaster Lokeshwaran V R (who has never engaged with any discussion on their conduct or SPI whatsoever). I'm not as certain on the Padmavathy Rajan and Padmavathy R users (who are presumably socks of each other), but they have also moved the same page against consensus and have been warned by another editor on their talk page about excessive page moves. — Amakuru (talk) 19:31, 29 September 2022 (UTC)

:All of the following are confirmed to the master, {{checkuser|Lokeshwaran V R}},
:*{{checkuser|Lokeshwaran Vela}},
:*{{checkuser|Padmavathy Rajan}} and
:*{{checkuser|Padmavathy R}}
:Some of these accounts have made a lot of article moves that might need to be undone. I've done the blocks but request that a clerk consider tagging. EdJohnston (talk) 20:09, 29 September 2022 (UTC)

Judging from the editing area (Karnataka, and transport related), seems like an IP sock of LTA User:Lokeshwaran V R, see the SPI case page [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Lokeshwaran_V_R].
