Evidence has been provided here by User:Jweiss11 and others. Basically each of these accounts spreads a dubious award (CFPA) in college football player articles, or supports the spreading in discussions. While User:Eagles247 has already (unofficially) [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk%3AWikiProject_College_football&action=historysubmit&diff=392091511&oldid=392090227 confirmed] they are sockpuppets, I am looking to make this official. bender235 (talk) 08:52, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

These accounts were also created for promotion purposes only, as it seems they are the founder of the College Football Performance Awards based on the evidence at the thread above. Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:34, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

  • I have a feeling they're the same, but some confirmation would be helpful, given that this has gone on for so long. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 15:05, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

{{confirmed}} the following are the same (no comment on the IPs):

  • {{checkuser|1=Guiltlessgecko}}
  • {{checkuser|1=Kcchief915}}
  • {{checkuser|1=Obamafan70}}
  • {{checkuser|1=PalindromeKitty}}
  • {{checkuser|1=Lymewatchdog}} TNXMan 18:00, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

:Why no comment on the IPs? Were they no sockpuppets? —bender235 (talk) 18:59, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

::Checkuser will not tie IP addresses to named accounts, as it is a violation of the privacy policy. TNXMan 19:51, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

:::Okay. Thanks for the explanation. —bender235 (talk) 21:51, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
