Problematic edits by these two IP addresses at Bengal Presidency and Bengal Sultanate appear to be attempts at block evasion by sockmaster {{U|Solomon The Magnifico}}.

  • Bengal Presidency and Bengal Sultanate were favourite battlegrounds of the master before he was blocked.
  • Attacking other editors (e.g. accusing them of "bias" without foundation), denigrating their work (e.g. calling it "bullshit"), and blindly asserting that his edits are "better" is typical behavior for him:[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bengal_Presidency&diff=prev&oldid=1166908788][https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bengal_Presidency&diff=prev&oldid=1187625283][https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dhaka&diff=prev&oldid=1132911466][https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Solomon_The_Magnifico&diff=prev&oldid=1116217394]
  • Edit-warring over images and maps is typical behavior for him: Talk:Economy of Bangladesh#Gulshan skyline, Talk:Bengal Presidency#RFC for infobox map, Talk:Bengal Sultanate#Typo in my revert
  • Even before the master was blocked, edits by 182.163.96.93 appeared to be the master occassionally editing while logged out:[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Economy_of_Bangladesh&diff=prev&oldid=1121517138][https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bengal_Sultanate&diff=prev&oldid=1161266276][https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bengal_Presidency&diff=prev&oldid=1162372805][https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Bengal_Presidency&diff=prev&oldid=1167698906][https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents&diff=prev&oldid=1175674107]

{{U|PadFoot2008}} and {{U|Noorullah21}}, who have been on the receiving end of his behaviour recently may have further input.

:I see. Yeah, he keeps trying to edit war his version of the map in. Noorullah (talk) 22:11, 1 December 2023 (UTC)

::Noorullah, I am sorry but the map was created by you. Not me. Since you are the creator of the map, you are obviously inclined towards keeping the map. I'm a third party here. I could argue you have a conflict of interest, but I am not doing that. I was actually going to suggest to you whether it is possible to improve the map, based on sources. It's a good map, no doubt. Then I see this SPI tactic to obstruct me. This is very unfortunate. 182.163.96.93 (talk) 21:15, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

:Yes. I recently also submitted a page protection for Bengal Presidency as I suspected the IP edits to be made by Solomon. He reverted a large number of edits on the page to a much earlier version (to almost how the article was before Solomon got blocked, i.e., the version Solomon had created) without consensus which I reverted back. • I am afraid Worldbruce and PadFoot2008 are the actual sockpuppets themselves, with Worldbruce as the master. There should be scrutiny of Worldbruce, including an SPI investigation. Worldbruce is possibly a person from West Bengal who seeks to remove information about Bengali Muslims and the Islamic history of Bengal. Nothing surprising given the current, highly charged political climate in India. Solomon, I believe, has shown nothing but WP:GOODFAITH towards Worldbruce. The goal here is to delete huge amounts of well-sourced, well-researched information on Bangladesh, by this group of Indian nationalist editors who have been hounding several Bangladesh-related editors for months now. The irony is that Bangladesh and India are the best of friends, with a special relationship emanating from the Bangladesh Liberation War. Strangely, India-focused editors like Worldbruce and PadFoot2008 are undermining this special relationship, and no one from the India-related editors' community seems to take note. Even some Bangladesh-related editors are failing to see through, and one of these editors even got blocked by Worldbruce. There are hardly any expert non-political editors from Bangladesh left on Wikipedia. The coordinated effort on Worldbruce's part is so sophisticated that he managed to drum up a faulty community ban against the editor Solomon. It seems Worldbruce wants to implement authoritarian tactics on Wikipedia. Fowler&fowler, has Wikipedia really come of age? If Worldbruce is being able to implement such a coordinated, sophisticated campaign to keep Bangladesh under-represented on Wikipedia, then this is very dangerous. Wikipedia's possible bias against Bangladesh has been reportedly conveyed to the US Ambassador to Bangladesh, who defended Wikipedia. First, it was Pakistan-based editors obstructing Bangladesh coverage. Now, very shockingly, it is India-related editors. Please take these concerns seriously.--182.163.96.93 (talk) 21:09, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
  • While amply proving my point for me, he forgot to link a diff with his master.[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3ASolomon_The_Magnifico&diff=1177794708&oldid=1176888364] --Worldbruce (talk) 21:50, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
  • :There has to be an investigation into what you are up to, Worldbruce (or should I say, West Bengal?). The truth will win in the future. You are gaming the system to exploit SPI investigations and community consensus as post-truth weapons. The truth always wins, and will win in the long term. 182.163.96.93 (talk) 21:58, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
  • ::This user has pure political motive. This cannot be more clear. This user is WP:NOTHERE and very much appears to be a sockpuppet of Solomon The Magnifico. PadFoot2008 (talk) 04:04, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
  • :::No, you should be investigated for sockpuppetry. You are removing high quality edits and replacing content with sub-par content. Stop gaming the system. Its beyond tragic that the innocent are being penalized by actual sockpuppets. 182.163.96.93 (talk) 07:48, 3 December 2023 (UTC)

{{sock list|1=Bikrampur|2=Tejoshkriyo|tools_link=yes}}

First I want to go into analysis of the actions of {{no ping|Bikrampur}}. Recently they were blocked for their bad behavior towards other editors who reverted his vandalism in Bangladesh. If you see [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bangladesh&diff=prev&oldid=1221668545&title=Bangladesh&diffonly=1 this edit] then you will see that this person accuse others without any proof. This behavior matched with another editor {{no ping|Tejoshkriyo}} who used the same remark as Bikrampur [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bangladesh&diff=prev&oldid=1222213257&title=Bangladesh&diffonly=1 here] in the same article. Strangely their behavior has similarity with blocked {{no ping|Solomon The Magnifico}} who used to use these types to remarks against others (see [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dhaka&diff=prev&oldid=1132911466&title=Dhaka&diffonly=1 here]). Also, see this edit by Bikrampur [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Bikrampur&diff=prev&oldid=1222614220&title=User_talk%3ABikrampur&diffonly=1 here]. Notice this part "If you knew who I am, you would never talk like that". This matched with Solomon's behavior who seemly brag about their identity (see [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?oldid=1176281415#Boomerang here], where they said "I come from a distinguished political family of the subcontinent...." [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents&diff=prev&oldid=1175624841&title=Wikipedia%3AAdministrators%27_noticeboard%2FIncidents&diffonly=1 here]). Also see [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bangladesh&diff=prev&oldid=1214730969&title=Bangladesh&diffonly=1 this edit], as you can see the [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bangladesh&diff=prev&oldid=1223345918&title=Bangladesh&diffonly=1 revert with edit summary] by {{no ping|Worldbruce}}, the same edit with same source in Bangladesh by Bikrampur was done in Bengal Presidency by Solomon ([https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bengal_Presidency&diff=prev&oldid=1223273587&title=Bengal_Presidency&diffonly=1 see this revert] and [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bengal_Presidency&diff=prev&oldid=1168530474&title=Bengal_Presidency&diffonly=1 edit 1] and [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bengal_Presidency&diff=prev&oldid=1168531706&title=Bengal_Presidency&diffonly=1 edit 2]). Another thing is both Bikrampur and Solomon erase messages from their talk page of users they don't like. Also they both remove warnings from their talk page. See [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Solomon_The_Magnifico&diff=prev&oldid=1168034142&title=User_talk%3ASolomon_The_Magnifico&diffonly=1 here], [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Solomon_The_Magnifico&diff=prev&oldid=1160621273&title=User_talk%3ASolomon_The_Magnifico&diffonly=1 here] and [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Bikrampur&diff=prev&oldid=1222322263&title=User_talk%3ABikrampur&diffonly=1 here]. Compare {{U|Solomon The Magnifico}}'s edit to Bengal Presidency, where he changed "Many of the recruits were from Bihar and Oudh." into "Recruits came largely from Bengal, Bihar and Oudh."[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=1168531706] with {{U|Bikrampur}}'s edit to Bangladesh, where he added "It was made up of recruits from Bengal, Bihar and Oudh who served under British officers."[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bangladesh&diff=prev&oldid=1214730969]

In each case the same four sources are cited for the statement that recruits came from Bengal: an opinion piece (not reliable for facts per WP:RSEDITORIAL), two sources that don't address the matter, and Mason 1986, which directly contradicts the text, saying "men were recruited not from Bengal, but from Bihar and Oudh" (emphasis mine).

Solomon The Magnifico and Bikrampur are already blocked, but it's important to document the socking in case he ever tries to take advantage of the standard offer. I'm not sure which is more damaging to Wikipedia, his obnoxious behaviour or his sweeping edits that appear plausible (lots of sources cited) but on close inspection are studded with instances where he has written the exact opposite of what reliable sources say. His edits simply can't be trusted. --Worldbruce (talk) 12:42, 17 May 2024 (UTC)

  • Various factors lead me to think it fairly likely that Bikrampur is Solomon The Magnifico. They're already blocked, so I'll apply a suspected tag. Tejoshkriyo looks different - I couldn't rule it out, but it doesn't look likely. There are very few edits from that account, I'm going to leave it alone, report them if they start behaving disruptively. Girth Summit (blether) 13:10, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
