Spyro02 created hoax forks of two German articles and edited other articles to claim that the German State of Saxony-Anhalt is part of the US. The same user created Bluemoon Games and Gymnasium Querfurt, an article about a German school which linked to Bluemoon Games.

The Gqhs account was created after FPAS semi-protected Gymnasium Querfurt, and turned up at Talk:Gymnasium Querfurt, protesting against the cleanup. Looks like a duck to me. Hans Adler 13:34, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

Hans Adler is a German name

Isn't that suspicious that someone with a German-looking name appears to amend articles about a state and a school doing something different. If he is a German, he is not likely to accept a secession of a state which Germany claims as its property and an American! high school on grounds he considers German.

I ask for clarification of Hands Adler's nationality and his neutrality/attitude on all these matters.

And by the way, "Sachsen-Anhalt" is a proper name and thus may not be translated. GQHS (talk) 2:13 PM, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

At the time of the last SPI on Spyro02 I collected extensive evidence that I cannot present here because it would out the user, and even to an unusual degree. At the time, the user stopped vandalising after I got him on the phone in my attempt to phone his parents, but he recently started editing again. Some of the edits are constructive and made in good faith. Some are closer to vandalism. (Whether they are done in good faith would have to be judged by a professional and is not really relevant for us.) As the vandalism is tied to bizarre behaviour in real life that wasn't even stopped by a prison sentence and discharge from an educational institution resulting in loss of the user's visa status, there seems to be little hope that he will get bored. Therefore I am documenting his renewed activity here for future use such as a formal ban discussion at WP:AN in case of any complications in the future.

Some relevant discussions:

Nothing needs to be done at this point, although it's conceivable to block Chris.usnames for block circumvention. (Spyro02 was blocked just for sockpuppetry, but Ghqs was blocked for "Repeated uncivil comments and attacks", with talk page access removed after [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AGqhs&action=historysubmit&diff=356651291&oldid=356650759 this].) If any admin wants to do this, you may need supporting private evidence that ties the various accounts together. I will provide it by email on request. Hans Adler 08:28, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

I had opportunity to review the off-wiki evidence evidence as well and just want to add that going back through the relevant articles there is a stream of various IPs on this particular vandalism-quest with the earlierst I found going back to 2009. I am posting this here and not in the administrator section as I have been content involved before realising the obvious vandalism intent which becomes apparent when comparing the older edits/accounts with the latest batch. • {{clerknote}} I'm closing this case for now. Chris.usnames and the 217 IP haven't edited in months; the 82 IP last edited a week ago, so it's kinda stale. Relist if necessary. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 13:00, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

The Chris.usnames account, stale at the time of the last report, has now resumed editing, restored a comment by 86.56.31.93, and explicitly and implausibly denied being the same person as that account. As this is a reincarnation of an indefinitely blocked user, I think the account should be blocked. I have advised the user about WP:Standard offer. Hans Adler 23:53, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

  • {{clerknote}} Arthur Rubin already blocked the sock; I just tagged it. And unsurprisingly, the autoblock has kicked in for the IP. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 03:25, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
