These accounts keep adding a reference to the page for "Fine Structure Constant" that was removed because the original user is the author of this research. This paper has no citations and has likely been given undue weight in the article. These accounts often have names (octonian, fineconstant) relating to the paper and they have no other edits except to post this paragraph and defend the article.

• Yeah, {{duck}}, but not clear there was any intent to evade. Some people just forget their password. Left the most recent account, dimnumero, a warning for socking (AGF) and COI, and partially blocked them from the pages where they were self-promoting (which has the effect of barring them from using other accounts). • Some chance here they never saw the original p-block, but we've reached the point where that can be sorted out in an unblock request. New account and most recent other sock (Dimnumero, the one I p-blocked) indef siteblocked. Master as well, to avoid having a situation where sox are blocked but the master isn't. I blocked Ignotus as a duck for reasons that should be obvious from Special:PageHistory/Fine-structure constant. (Priyanka.giri0 is also probably a sock, but seems to be a throwaway account so I haven't blocked.) WrightSisters, a brand new account, has now shown up on my talk page to request that I self-revert. Their interpersonal approach is a bit different from Singh accounts in the past, so requesting CU in an attempt to tell if this is socking or "just" meatpuppetry, and also to freshen the CU trail. -- Tamzin^{[cetacean needed]} (she|they|xe) 18:48, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

• Well, that's interesting.

:* {{checkuser|1= WrightSisters}} is {{confirmed}} to {{checkuser|1= Physicsenduser}} and {{checkuser|1= Dimnumero}}. Relatively busy range, no obvious sleepers. We can block it if we have to but we're not there yet.

:* {{checkuser|1=Priyanka.giri0}} and {{checkuser|1= Ignotus12}} are {{tallyho}} to the confirmed accounts. I'm not going to comment further because I like BEANS but not up my nose. Suffice to say that they're trying to be sophisticated about adding this Most Important Research, but I'm better at this than they are. ;-)
