User:The undertow is a former administrator. If I read the record properly, after ARBCom looked into concerns over abuse of his administrator tools, and chronic incivility, he voluntarily agreed to have his administratorship removed. Other references to him at ANI indicate he was caught employing a sockpuppet to evade a community ban.

I became aware of this contributor due to a request they made to delete an image they placed in the public domain -- :File:OC.jpg. Claims made there triggered my skepticism. A contributor there drew attention to the activities of his "associates" -- all three IP addresses used very similar language to try to remove :File:OC.jpg from the article on Gang signals on 2012-03-17. I don't think there's much an SPI can do here. The editing appears to have died down on the relevant article (last edit on 3/17). If there was more current activity, I'd be tempted to fully protect the article until either a)it gets sorted on the talk page or b)the Commons deletion discussion closes. As it stands, things have gone quiet. Further edit warring (whether logged in or out) should be reported to RFPP. If new accounts pop up to continue disruption, please re-file here. I'll mark this for close for now. TNXMan 18:09, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
