A large batch of socks was blocked on 3 December Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Aviation geek/Archive#01 October 2013, although it was eventually concluded that Aviation geek was not the master account. Over the course of October several new accounts recreated the deleted articles created by these socks, usually with almost exactly the same content:
- {{u|LessThanEvil}} recreated [//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Matthew_Shell&diff=prev&oldid=584343461 Matthew Shell], previously created by {{u|Articleman78}} [//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Undelete&target=Matthew+Shell×tamp=20130625104443&diff=prev]. This account was created on 3 December, the same day the previous socks were blocked, and the recreation was their first edit.
- {{u|TippyMann}} recreated [//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dipnarine_Maharaj&diff=prev&oldid=576494002 Dipnarine Maharaj], previously created by {{u|Labelous23}} [//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Undelete&target=Dipnarine+Maharaj×tamp=20130829163753&diff=prev]

I've not been involved in one of these discussions before, but it doesn't look great! I have no idea who time queen is? I've checked my contributions and I cannot see where I've crossed paths with that editor or any of the others for that matter? 32inNumbers (talk) 12:25, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

- {{Endorse}} - There is very clearly something going on here. I don't have the time to run a thorough check but I can say that this appears to be a resurgence of paid editing by this group. NativeForeigner Talk 18:07, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
- A lot of accounts here are stale (including: TimeQueen32, TippyMann, Boofa-Relli, YanKha, Bumbergang and AzzuriItalia4). For these, action will have to be based on behavioural evidence. The following accounts, on the other hand, are not yet stale and are {{Tallyho}}.

- {{ping|Salvio giuliano}} So I know if I can G5 the creations are you able to find any blocked accounts? Specifically from Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/LumCel/Archive or Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Aviation geek? Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 09:12, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
::::*What do you mean by that? NativeForeigner Talk 10:57, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
:::::*To be able to WP:CSD#G5 the contribs I need there to be a blocked master (or sock puppet) related to the confirmed accounts. I can use User:AzzuriItalia4 but I was hoping there might be a clearer link/confirmation in the CU results somewhere. And given the suggested crossover with LumCel or Aviation geek there might be a CU result to support that. Plus there are a few SPIs on this so it'd be good to know who is who if any of them are the same person. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 11:02, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
::::::*{{ping|Callanecc}} unfortunately, I found no technical connection with any of the blocked users you point to. Salvio Let's talk about it! 11:28, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
- {{admin comment}} I have blocked the accounts. Those that didn't have checkuser evidence had sufficient behavioural evidence. Unfortunately I don't have time to look into the question of whether there is enough evidence to justify G5 deletions. Maybe someone else can have a look at that. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 13:58, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
- At this time there just isn't enough there to warrant G5ing the contribs of blocked socks so I am closing this SPI just with the blocks. To be clear I'm not precluding the possibility that this is related to one of those sock masters just that there isn't enough evidence at this point in time. Given that I'm closing this SPI now. A bunch of shills using Wikipedia to promote.
Morkfish and Nordiskk recently recreated Joelle Wyser-Pratte and Paul O’Reilly-Hyland (husband wife time). Both were previously created by editors connected to the TimeQueen32 Aviation geek and Sibtain 007 socks/ paid editing groups. Rangdon linked Paul O'Reilly-Hyland into some lists. [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_Irish_Americans&diff=prev&oldid=637934853] [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_Americans_of_Irish_descent&diff=prev&oldid=637935262]
Morkfish created a copyvio version of Lancer Corporation (deleted 20 Sep 2014) and a User:Morkfish/sandbox on the same company ([http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Morkfish/sandbox&oldid=625225778] 12 Sep 2014).
Xoxepad then copied Morkfish's sandbox version into mainspace Lancer Corporation. [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lancer_Corporation&oldid=627425756] 28 Sep 2014)
Other probable but less directly connected.
Editing of an obscure AgileJ StructureViews connects Rangdon to Blessedmate and Fraancosd. All editing a little Java visualizer then creating entertainment based articles it too far fetched to believe as a coincidence.
All of these accounts are new and their primary purpose is to create new adverts. Geoff Antonio, Love at First Sight (2012 film), Mark Playne, James Drew, Soulspazm. duffbeerforme (talk) 07:20, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

- {{clerknote}} {{ping|duffbeerforme}} You say that Morkfish and Nordiskk created articles "previously created by editors connected to the TimeQueen32 Aviation geek and Sibtain 007". How did you come to the conclusion that those are socks of TimeQueen32, and not of Aviation geek or Sibtain 007? Vanjagenije (talk) 10:22, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
::What I believe is the last SPI around spamming Wyser-Pratte / O'Reilly-Hyland was at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Aviation geek. NativeForeigner stated "These are almost certainly not Aviation geek. They are likely TimeQueen32/that paid editing group." [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Aviation_geek&diff=599093101&oldid=598808478]. One of the involved accounts ther, User:Passamore is blocked as a TimeQueen32 sock. So I went with that. duffbeerforme (talk) 03:34, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
- {{CURequest}} - {{Selfendorse}} - I still do not understand the connection to TimeQueen32, but enough evidence to compare those to each other. I'm not sure whether Morkfish and Xoxepad are stale or not, since all their edits are deleted. Vanjagenije (talk) 18:50, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
- All {{possible}} to {{likely}} to each other. Lots of non-common IPs, but there are a few common ranges that all have in common. As to whether it's TimeQueen: unlikely. However some of the ranges these accounts are on have links to a variety of other paid editing/promotional/COI editing investigations. Regarding Aviation geek, there was some behavior which linked him to the TimeQueen32 sockfarm. His explanation, which he provided privately, as well as a secondary check persuaded me that he was not related to the paid editing/sock group. NativeForeigner Talk 09:41, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- {{clerk-note}} I don't see anything else to do here. In particular, {{u|Fraancosd}} — the only non-stale account amongst the alleged socks — doesn't appear to have any editing history in common with any of the others. Closing now. — Richwales (no relation to Jimbo) 20:59, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

Has expanded and continued an article started by the sockmaster: [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=BLOC_Hotels&type=revision&diff=618338030&oldid=612395519]
Is also possibly an undisclosed paid editor, and implicated in a possible paid editing ring described at COIN.
No other editors have substantially expanded this article since the sockmaster last edited in February 2014. Brianhe (talk) 23:53, 16 July 2015 (UTC) Brianhe (talk) 23:53, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Call it behavioral evidence. Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#Amalto and others shows the interconnections between Cosmopolite1 and a paid editing ring. Note that it appears to include another known sockpuppeteer, {{U|Andrewjohn39}}, and possibly a known (formerly) undisclosed paid editor {{U|BiH}}.
{{ping|Smartse}} The link to the master via Bloc Hotels was initially suggested by you [//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/BLOC_Hotels&oldid=598764535 here], maybe you could explain further? — Brianhe (talk) 17:33, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
{{ping|Smartse}} (or whoever else cares) I hadn't noticed before that both this editor and {{U|The Librarian at Terminus}} had been quite active on Lisa Daily within just a few days of each other. There are multiple SPIs concerning The Librarian, but nothing has stuck (yet). Brianhe (talk) 19:16, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

if I understand correctly, the recreation of Arun pudur, which was just deleted as a article by a banned editor, means that this new account is another sock? If so, the WP:DUCK evidence is pretty clear, since he somehow had access to a complete version of the article. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 13:40, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

- {{moreinfo}} - {{ping|Shawn_in_Montreal}} how do you know that Arun pudur was originally created by this master? Vanjagenije (talk) 14:33, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
:*Not sure I understand the question. This is just me trying to follow the logic, per: [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log/delete&page=Arun_Pudur this edit]. User:Ponyo could shed more light, perhaps. We have a new account that has access to a deleted article of a COI sock puppet editor, which was recreated almost immediately after deletion, was it not? If I understand the chain of events correctly, who else could this possibly be? Shawn in Montreal (talk) 14:40, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
::*Arun Pudur has just been speedily deleted per G5 by Ponyo, again. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 15:35, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
:::*{{ping|Shawn in Montreal}} Please, explain the connection between the Arun pudur article and TimeQueen32. Vanjagenije (talk) 15:44, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
::::*Actually, there's no need to -- User:WTheGreat has already been indef blocked as sockpuppet, so it seems clear enough to the admins. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 15:50, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
:::::*{{ping|Shawn in Montreal}} it is clear that he is a sockpuppet, but it's not clear whose sockpuppet. How do you connected him to TimeQueen32? What does Arun pudur has to do with TimeQueen32? Vanjagenije (talk) 16:04, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
::::::*It was [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Arun_Pudur&type=revision&diff=673659435&oldid=673644067 a diff] from a different admin, Smartse. Problem is, the diff has been deleted and I don't have the user rights to see and reconstruct my logic. I'd raised it here, previously User_talk:Smartse#Sock.3F. I don't have any more info for you. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 16:09, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
:::::::*I think that Smartse had said the article was initially created by the editor who'd created another deleted article, and when I followed that link it led me to this SPI. So it's a simple matter of having the user rights to see who the first person was to create this article, and what else they'd created, I guess. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 16:23, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
{{outdent}} Dawnn Karen was created by the same sock as Arun Pudur this time and before Dawnn Karen was started by User:Happydit who I listed under this SPI but it was then moved (unfortunately without any trace in this one) to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Ali_cruse/Archive but those will all be stale. It's impossible to tell where one group finishes and the next begins. The same applies to the link with Bloc Hotels I'm afraid. We should probably just deal with this as undisclosed paid editing. SmartSE (talk) 21:32, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
- {{clerknote}} {{ping|Brianhe}} Is there any other evidence for Cosmopolite1 except editing the same page like the master? That is not strong enough evidence to block him. Vanjagenije (talk) 16:08, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
- No further evidence forthcoming; closing without prejudice to reopening should additional evidence be presented.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:53, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
