;Evidence
All of the user's edits are basically done on the same topics or biographies:
- [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lenny_Bruce&action=history Lenny Bruce]
- [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dorothy_Kilgallen&action=history Dorothy Kilgallen] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pinkadelica (talk • contribs) 11:33, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Karyn_Kupcinet&action=history Karyn Kupcinet]
- [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=New_Beverly_Cinema&action=history New Beverly Cinema]
- [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=John_Stamos&action=history John Stamos]
- [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Gilda_Radner&action=history Gilda Radner]
- [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Seymour_Hersh&action=history Seymour Hersh]
- [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Albert_Goldman&action=history Albert Goldman]
The user has the same style of editing and has a habit of leaving long, detailed information in the edit summary. 164.67.44.73 is an anonymous IP, but Dooyar has repeatedly left messages on the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Karyn_Kupcinet/Archive1 archived Karyn Kupcinet talk page] when responding to the debate that was going on concerning that article, and has admitted using that IP and had to be reminded to sign in and sign their posts. The other anon IP is older and hasn't been used in a while but I figured I'd throw it in for good measure. The IP is from a public place (LA library), but seem to use the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/76.81.222.92 same style] of bad sourcing and rambling edit summaries.
;Comments
Dooyar was [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Dooyar blocked] twice for being uncivil and violating the 3RR rule. The first time was for 24 hours, the second for 48 (on 11-6-07). Since their last ban, the original user hasn't edited. The anon IP (164...) attempted to delete the archives of the Karyn Kupcinet talk page a few days ago in an attempt to get rid of all the rude things they wrote which got them banned twice and they also reverted the edits another editor and I did (they have since been restored). I suspect Dooyar is creating sock puppets to make it seem like more than one person is supporting their edits and to avoid being banned permanently with their main account. Dooyar got into an edit war with myself and another user on two different pages recently because of poorly sourced info and their refusal to go by Wikipedia guidelines. Basically all of these users use the same tactics when editing and get upset if someone else edits their "hard work" and is forever telling others to leave a page alone.
:Comment: The tampering has continued with the return of the use of the User:Dooyar account. After signing on this evening and making edits to talk pages including [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Karyn_Kupcinet Karyn Kupcinet] and responses to the sockpuppet notice on [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Dooyar], the tone of the comments left on the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Karyn_Kupcinet Karyn Kupcinet] have begun escalating toward incivility again. Within 10 minutes of the last edit from this account, an attempt to remove material once again from the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Karyn_Kupcinet/Archive1 archived Karyn Kupcinet talk page] as well as maintenance tags from the Albert Goldman article was made from the 76.81.204.238 IP. ;Conclusions
You list Onittles as a sock and don't even mention him in your write up. While edit summaries are similar there is little to prove a SOCK vio. The behavior of Dooyar is more of a incivility and disruption case. But neither has edited for several days. So I'm passing for blocking now. Also note that the 76 IPs are from Herndon, VA but the the 164 and 209 IPs are from Los Angeles, so the 4 IPs represent two different people. If incivility and disruption reoccur, report to the appropriate board. If better sock evidence occurs, make a new report here and provide good diffs. — Rlevse • Talk • 03:27, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
