Roblox games and Wikipedia articles
I suppose that this has most likely been brought up before, but why do only 3 roblox games have Wikipedia articles? So many of these games should be notable for setting records or having controversy.
Lets give an example for the setting records part, Grow a Garden just hit 6.5 million players playing the game at once. The update is only an hour away. That has to be the most CCU of any video game of all time. Why does Grow a Garden not have a Wikipedia article yet?
For the controversy part of this argument, Pet Simulator has been known for being basically child gambling, NFT scandals, creating brand new marketing strategies used in other games, and having some of the most addictive gameplay ever. (and to top it off, a McDonalds promotion.)
The fact that Galarian Corsola has an article but Roblox games that have done some insane stuff (for better or for worse) don’t have articles is kinda crazy to me. Toketaatalk 13:29, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
:Hello @Toketaa. Notability on Wikipedia can be a strange concept. Factors like player counts don't contribute to notability. What does matter are secondary sources providing in-depth information on the subject. Without these sources, no such article can be published, because there would be no verifiable information to create an encyclopedic article.
:You can try finding these sources yourself if you wish. There's always a chance the article hasn't been created because simply no one wanted to create it yet. Good luck. Tarlby (t) (c) 14:05, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
:I just created the article for Grow a Garden as there was sufficient coverage of the game in reliable sources. Ca talk to me! 15:43, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
:To give an example of what the other users have said, The Henry Stickmin Collection has no (English) Wikipedia article despite being very popular. If it receives enough coverage one day I might create the article as I quite like the series, but I don't think that's the case yet. Popularity does not confer notability for Wikipedia's purposes. Copying Wikipedia article from other online encyclopedias
In my first task as an editor, Wikipedia gave me the challenge to find a citation in an article about Katyusha rocket launchers. (Katyusha rocket launcher)
While looking for the information, I came across two other sites and nearly cited them until I realized the text of the articles were 100% identical to the Wikipedia entry: https://encyclopedia.pub/entry/33152# and https://handwiki.org/wiki/Engineering:Katyusha_rocket_launcher
What is Wikipedia's policy on authors publishing an identical article on other online encyclopedias? Inquisit345 (talk) 19:22, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
: See WP:REUSE. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:28, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
::Thanks for your response Andy. I'm not sure what the bottom line is though. WP:REUSE appears to be a discussion about how text and images copied from Wikipedia should be referenced, but is it possible the author of Katyusha rocket launcher created his Wikipedia article as a copy of text and images from one of the other two encyclopedias instead of the other way around? Inquisit345 (talk) 18:26, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
:::Working that out usually involves some detective work, {{u|Inquisit345}}. It [https://handwiki.org/wiki/index.php?title=Engineering:Katyusha_rocket_launcher&action=info seems that] the version on HandWiki.org was created on 7 February 2024, and checking the revision history of Katyusha rocket launcher, the text was already in the article before that date, so it seems that it was copied from our article, not to it. Cordless Larry (talk) 07:36, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
::::In fact, it seems the version of the article that was copied from was the one that existed prior to [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Katyusha_rocket_launcher&diff=prev&oldid=1198018439 this edit], when it had the longer "Post-war development" section that you see on HandWiki.org. Cordless Larry (talk) 07:41, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:::::@Cordless Larry. Very observant. Thanks for following up. One really has to go over the articles with a fine-toothed comb to figure something like that out. draft translation thing
back when i didn't have enough edits to use the translate feature on wikipedia i translated Draft:TNT (Chinese boy group) manually. it already had three languages so i translated it to english. it eventually got relegated to the draftspace due to its notability being called into question. i have enought edits to translate it normally but thats kinda weird since the manual stub got rejected. i don't really know what to do with this draft at the moment Plastixfy (talk) 20:13, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
:Hello, @Plastixfy, and welcome to the Teahouse.
:The different language versions of Wikipedia are independent projects with their own policies and standards. This means that just because there is an article in one Wikipedia does not necessarily mean that the subject will meet the standards for another Wikipedia. English Wikipedia is one of the strictest on citing sources and notability.
:As far as I can tell using Google Translate, none of the three sources cited in the draft meets the triple requirement of reliability, independence, and significant coverage of the group (see WP:42). Without several sources which do meet all three criteria, it is not possible to establish that the group is notable, and no article is possible in English Wikipedia. ColinFine (talk) 21:33, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
::That makes a lot more sense. Thanks Plastixfy (talk) 01:03, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
::@ColinFine I just added some more sources. Could you please check if meets the criteria yet? Plastixfy (talk) 02:43, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
Archived links
Why do some pages have references with "Archived from the original on ____" links and some don't. See for instance Pope Francis, which has the majority of references archived on various dates. Is this something that ideally should be done to every reference possible? And what is the best way to use this feature? Thanks. PhilipCheesesteak (talk) 22:39, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
:Hi @PhilipCheesesteak, we archive links because the "host", the current website/link, may stop hosting that content or change what is at the URL. Help:Archiving a source has some great information. My preferred method is to run the InternetArchiveBot ([https://iabot.wmcloud.org/index.php?page=runbotsingle link here]) with the box ticked for "Add archives to all non-dead references". How do I remove a "COI" paragraph from a wikipedia page?
Someone - NOT ME! - wrote a long biography of me on Wikipedia. With help from some terrific wikipedia editors, I added some information, and corrected some spelling and mis-information. However now there is a large paragraph at the beginning of the Bio stating: "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject. It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies, particularly neutral point of view. Please discuss further on the talk page." But nothing on the "talk page" deals with this issue, and I can't find out how to get rid of the COI designation... I didn't initiate or write this long biography of me - but it is very nice and I'd like it to stay but not sound as though it is not viable please??? PLEASE HELP!!!! THe site is:

What if the image isn’t copyrighted?
I would like to upload a photo that I own that pertains to a wiki, but I don’t know if it would be allowed or not since it isn’t a copyrighted image. Jawsss (talk) 02:24, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
:{{yo|Jawsss}} Depends on what you mean by "own". Normally the person that took the photo owns the copyright. And the default is that it is copyright. So if you took the photo, you own the copyright, and have the right to release it under a CC-BY license. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 02:31, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
::By “own” I meant I bought it. The photo is about 80 years old now, and the photographer is most likely dead. Jawsss (talk) 02:38, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
::: A photograph from 1940 is not yet old enough to be in the public domain because of when it was taken.
::: There are circumstances in which photos can be used under a fair use justification, regardless of their copyright status. See WP:NFC. These are quite restrictive rules, but if they apply, the photo may be used. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 02:51, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
::::Hello {{u|Jawsss}}. Copyright law is highly complex, but most commonly, old copyrights in the United States expire on January 1 of the year 95 years after publication. So, things first published in 1929 came into the public domain at the beginning of this year. If the photographer has died, the copyright belongs to their heirs or estate. On Wikipedia, we need to comply with the restrictions of both the country of first publication and the US, since Wikipedia is hosted in the US. Cullen328 (talk) 06:33, 26 May 2025 (UTC)

:Its suitability for "fair use" on this project will also depend on he subject: is it something that could be taken today, such as a scenic view, or is it of an historic event or person that could no longer be photographed? Do we have other freely-usable photographs available, of the same subject? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 10:45, 26 May 2025 (UTC)

:::The work may be eligible for fair use here, depending on where you intend to use it; see WP:NFC as already advised. Sandbox problem
William Oliver (artist, born 1823). I want to use a Sandbox for this article but when I select Sandbox I get a Sandbox for William Oliver (artist, born 1804), an article that I previously worked on. When I had this sort of problem before, I deleted the previous Sandbox script and worked on the resultant blank page. Unfortunately this results in a muddled and confused history. :Hi BFP1. Assuming you mean a user sandbox, one way is to make a wikilink like User:BFP1/William Oliver (artist, born 1823) and click it. PrimeHunter (talk) 09:38, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
::There are already articles at both William Oliver (artist, born 1823) that you worked on, BFP1 and at William Oliver (artist, born 1804). What are you trying to do that you can't do by editing the existing pages? Mike Turnbull (talk) 10:22, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
:::Thank you for your comment. I am not very good at editing (I don't do it regularly) and if I work on the main article I may make mistakes and have to make a series of corrections.I prefer to copy the article onto a sandbox where I can experiment with various options. I thought the point of a sandbox was to allow less experienced editors (or those that have forgotten how to edit) become more familiar with procedures. BFP1 (talk) 11:21, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
::Thank you for your reply. Yes I would like a user sandbox for William Oliver (artist, born 1823) linked to the article.I apologise for my ignorance but I am not clear about the procedure 'make a wikilink like User:BFP1/William Oliver (artist, born 1823) and click it' Do I just click 'User:BFP1/William Oliver (artist, born 1823)'? How do I make a Wikilink? BFP1 (talk) 11:06, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
:::@BFP1 PrimeHunter has already provided the correct link, currently in red. Click on that and you will be able to create the page in your userspace after you have added some content. It isn't good practice to copy the whole existing article into your sandbox as there is a danger that you'll make changes to it and when you copy it back into the existing article someone else may in the meantime have made an edit that you miss. Better, IMO, just to use your sandbox to draft a new sentence/paragraph or whatever with their citations and after previewing to check everything is OK you can copy/paste your new contribution into the live article directly. If you have edited published pieces you should be familiar with publishers’ guidelines. Think of Wikipedia as an online publisher, and you must follow Wikipedia’s rules on suitable articles. Help:Your first article tells you the basic guidelines to follow. Help:Referencing for beginners tells you what is and isn’t a suitable reference. You can’t start out by saying that you know what schools you attended, and what notable people you’ve worked with, so you can just write what you know. You need to find published sources that state these facts, so that others can track down those sources to double check what you’re writing about.
I would strongly recommend you read Wikipedia:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing. If you (or someone else) writes an article about you that gets accepted by Wikipedia that article won’t belong to you. Others can edit the article, and add published information, criticisms or reviews that you’d prefer not to have included in the article. And if the time comes when you decide that you’d prefer that article to go away, you can’t delete it. It is part of the Wikipedia encyclopedia, and it might get copied and shared on other websites.
Best wishes on any Wikipedia projects you chose to work on. Karenthewriter (talk) 04:26, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:Thank you for your reply! Are there writers that if you provide the information would want to publish an article about you, meaning if they believe it’s a contribution to society and find it interested to do so? Claroconcaro (talk) 04:58, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

:::Thank you for your reply. The reason I want to have a reliable autobiography it is because since I write and advice about finances, I get a lot of impostors, I don’t charge for financial advice, all of my advice is given for free and except for the book (that it is actually not mine, it’s the publishing house) there is nothing for sale on my end. What I would like written it’s financial concepts to help people out of their financial hole for free. Many articles have been written about me and the extra promotion is not what I am going for, it is simply to have the right info in a reliable source like Wikipedia. Claroconcaro (talk) 16:51, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
::@Claroconcaro You have been shy in telling us your full name, which would help experienced editors judge whether there were sufficient sources to establish you notability as Wikipedia defines that term. You can see whether many exist [https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=007734830908295939403:galkqgoksq0#gsc.tab=0 by searching at this URL]. Put your first/last name between inverted commas (i.e. "First Last") and with luck there will be some. Then read all the other links you have been provided with and this essay. Mike Turnbull (talk) 12:01, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:::Not shy at all to share my name, my full name is “Carolina Hernandez” my published book is “Una guía millonaria” right now the book is published in Spanish and sold in over 50 countries but it is in the process of being published in English.
:::All the independent sources that have wrote about it, or tv shows, blogs, interviews etc that have talk about it are in Spanish, I am just preparing for when the information is also in English, to prevent the wrong information to be the one published. Claroconcaro (talk) 16:58, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
::::Unfortunately, as you may have found when you tried the link I provided, your name is the same as several other people, so that way of finding sources doesn't work well. You might be better to start by creating a draft for the Spanish-language version of Wikipedia. However, I don't know their requirements for sources to demonstrate wikinotability. Mike Turnbull (talk) 17:19, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:::::Thanks Michael, that’s the thing, I meet the criteria under Creative professionals based on wikinotability, and what I am trying to do since I have a very common name is to separate myself from that, I know the independent sources’ links. Right now unless someone writes “Carolina Hernandez Una guía millonaria” too many Carolina’s show up. The guidelines in Spanish are pretty much the same but the community is not as active, hence me asking here. I truly appreciate your replies! Claroconcaro (talk) 19:23, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:Another bit of advice: There are other places to promote/tell the world about yourself--your personal blog/site, social accounts, About.me/Carrd.co...the list goes on. Other than that, you already have the option to create a user page--which can only be used to state your goals/interests as a Wikipedian. --Slgrandson (How's my egg-throwing coleslaw?) 12:44, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

Hi Teahouse,
I recently submitted a draft article on Jeff Campbell (Apostle), and it was declined by ToadetteEdit due to concerns about notability and the lack of significant coverage in independent, reliable sources. I really appreciate the review, and I’m hoping to get clarification on how to improve the draft for resubmission.
The draft is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Sadiowiki/sandbox
I’ve cited sources including La Voz, The Denver Post, Longmont Daily Times-Call, HuffPost, Westword, and award acknowledgments from the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation and Denver Arts & Venues. Some are in-depth features, while others cover public events or cultural contributions.
Could someone advise whether any of these sources already meet notability criteria if formatted correctly with inline
tags? And if not, what types of additional coverage should I be looking to include?
Any guidance on strengthening the article for acceptance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

:@Sadiowiki According to our policy on biographies of living people, all facts likely to be challenged must be cited to reliable sources. At present, in the "Early life" section you have put all the cites at the end (including a duplicated one), so it is unclear which back up the first paragraph, if any. The section on "Legacy and vision" is entirely uncited. Who said that about him? You? You also need to think which sources show how he is wikinotable and perhaps mention the three best ones in a comment on a draft to help the reviewer. Mike Turnbull (talk) 11:51, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
::Thank you for your detailed feedback — I’ve made several updates based on your suggestions:
::- All duplicate citations (like Migoya’s) have been consolidated using `name="..."` formatting to avoid redundancy.
::- I marked uncited statements such as the Forensics League achievements with `{{citation needed}}`.
::- I added inline `` tags directly after each verifiable fact in the “Early Life” section to clarify sourcing.
::- The “Legacy and Vision” section is now cited with reliable sources from *Westword* (2013 in-depth interview) and *Denver Arts & Venues* (2024 award recognition), and rewritten in a neutral tone with attribution where applicable.
::For notability, the three strongest sources currently cited are:
::1. *Westword* feature on Jeff Campbell’s one-man show (2013)
::2. *Denver Arts & Venues* — Social Impact Artist Award (2024)
::3. *HuffPost* articles on his music and activism (2009)
::Here’s the current draft for your reference:

Question on personal attacks
If someone makes an undue personal attack against you on an admin noticeboard (e.g. ANI, AN3, etc.), are you supposed to revert/undo it? If not, what else should you do if you don't think the person is acting in good faith towards you? »Gommeh 14:15, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

Suspicious links
Hi, I've noticed that a new user is adding links that point to https://backlinkspro.net/, leading to what looks like a sales page, with no information on the subject of the link. For example, in an article on marketing:
[https://backlinkspro.net/ Marketing strategy]
I think this is vandalism (or something else undesirable) but I'm not sure. Would appreciate input. FictionWitch (talk) 16:02, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:This is absolutely inappropriate linking and considering the link is completely irrelevent to the articles, I would consider it to be vandalism. S1mply.dogmom (talk) 16:09, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
::Thank you! Would you warn the user or wait to see if they add more? FictionWitch (talk) 16:10, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:::Warn the user immediately if nobody else has done so (see the editor's talk page). On a first offense, try the template {{tl|uw-vandalism1}} or {{tl|uw-spam1}} if the editor is adding spam links. If it keeps happening, you can escalate the warnings {{tl|uw-spam2}} etc. After 3 warnings are ignored, it's enough to report at WP:AIV for administrator attention. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:13, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

Move warring
A user moved Ontario Health (agency) to Ontario Health without discussion. I reverted it. The user reverted my reversion, without discussion. If I move the page back, I'd be WP:move warring. What is the proper process for me to take to revert the page back to its original name without move warring? Legend of 14 (talk) 18:31, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:Looking over the article and talk pages, there appears to be no attempt at opening a discussion by either party. It would be a good idea at this point, before doing any further reverts, to open the discussion yourself. You can ping them on the article's talk page or make a note on their user talk page. My article has been rejected again and again - but why, really?
I have been trying to post an article about Dr. Alexander Meystel (deceased), a world-renowned roboticist and foundational researcher in the fields of control systems, machine learning/machine intelligence and robotics. Nothing too dissimilar from his colleage James Albus, who already has an article on Wikipedia.
The only difference, I guess, is that I happen to be his son (only child, now ... ahem ... we'll call me .. "old"), and there is no one else left to speak for him or his lasting legacy on the fields I mentioned (his works are still being taught around the world, referenced in patents and papers, etc.
It is very burdensome to go through this process thrice++. Can someone please help me? Thank you.

:Hello! Getting an article approved for submission can often times be a slow and frustrating process. I would recommend going through the notes on your talk page. Each time a submission is denied, they will list out any reasons why. You are also given tools to seek assistance either from the reviewing contributor or other sources available to new contributors. The Tea House is certainly a good place to start, but WP: Articles for creation Help desk may be more specialized for what you're asking. S1mply.dogmom (talk) 20:56, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:Hello, @Meystel, and welcome to the Teahouse.
:A Wikipedia article should be a neutral summary of what several people wholly unconnected with the subject have chosen to publish about him in reliable publications, and very little else.
:While your COI does not prevent you from creating and submitting a draft (and thank you for disclosing it), it may make it harder for you to write an acceptable article, because you may find it difficult to forget every single thing you know about him and write a summary only of what those independent sources say.
:(I'm overstating the case slightly: your knowledge about him is absolutely inadmissable, except where it is corroborated by reliable published sources; but non-independent published sources may be cited in limited ways - see WP:SPS. But such information will not contribute to establishing notability, and so may as well be omitted until the draft has been accepted). ColinFine (talk) 21:47, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
What to do about an semi-absent GA reviewer
About two months ago, my GA nomination of Equality was picked up, but since then, the reviewer has been periodically disappearing. I believe them when they say they are trying to make time for it, but given their reasons for disappearing, I'm beginning to think it would be better for everyone involved to let them off the hook. I'm not sure what to do. – Farkle Griffen (talk) 20:24, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:I think formally speaking you're probably allowed to withdraw the nomination. Not sure how to change the templates/notices to account for that, but the person reviewing your article might know. Just say you'd like to withdraw the nomination. If no one is actively nominating it, the review must end, formally. Mrfoogles (talk) 03:36, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
:Interesting to see a GA nomination for a topic as fundamental as Equality, though. Don't see those a lot. Mrfoogles (talk) 03:37, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
Help with improving very niche subject
Hello. First of all sorry for my English. I am currently writing my thesis on this subject, and I have trouble switching to a different style than my usual one, so I can't improve the subject myself out of fear of being wrongly accused of plagiarism (or of simply using Wikipedia instead of doing my own research on current academic consensus). However, I can provide the necessary sources for the improvement of pages relating to the Muisca confederation: All of them are publicly accessible and I hope a devoted editor has the time and energy to read them, and then to change the Wikipedia page(s) on the Muisca for the better. Indeed, there have been many changes in Muisca scholarship recently (this does not mean that the traditional historical narratives are necessarily wrong). Here are the sources, they will contextualise everything and are fairly easy to read: https://www.banrepcultural.org/biblioteca-virtual/credencial-historia/numero-44/los-senores-muiscas (for this link you will have to refuse options for it to work); https://www.academia.edu/22398553/Mercados_poblamiento_Muiscas ; and https://sites.pitt.edu/~ccapubs/pdfdownloads/PITTmem09-Langebaek_1995.pdf (the last one will take some time loading). I know this demand might be bizarre, but it comes from the heart. It hurts seeing niche subjects cite almost only short museum pages/blogs/tourism pages instead of the detailed studies that exist about the muisca just as they do about the Aztec and Inca. I don’t have much time to argue about it a lot, and as I said I am not able to do the changes (big) myself (though believe me, I would love to, and I will probably one day). If a devoted user speaking basic Spanish and English with the time and energy necessary would have the kindness to read the three sources, I will be eternally grateful. There is MUCH more to this than 2 studies and a short article, but this can be a good way to improve Wikipedia by being informed about the muisca. After having finished, I am sure the editor in question will have the exact same eagerness as I have to improve Wikipedia pages related to the muisca. Maybe other editors with knowledge of niche subjects know what I am talking about. Kind regards, 80.187.115.196 (talk) 22:19, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:You may wish to bring this up on the article's talk page and the talk pages of the related Wikiprojects. Alternate to peer review for a potential good article nomination
Hello,
I've been working on an article for quite a bit of time now and want to nominate it for good article status soon, but I was wondering if there was an alternative to peer reviewing to get a bit of feedback. I'm not looking for an in-depth review like the peer review option would give me, but just a bit of constructive criticism on what I can improve before submitting a nomination. I've been doing alright improving the article based on its previous good article nomination + the various pages with tips and tricks, but I've never nominated an article before and I'm really not 100% on if I should do it now. Is there anything like that on Wikipedia? I've spent quite a bit of time looking, but found nothing (though, I am a bit new here)
Thank you! Reverosie (talk) 23:12, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:I don't think there's an explicit alternative. You may want to ask on the talk pages of the related Wikiprojects for the article. PhoenixCaelestis (Talk · Contributions) 23:27, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
::I already asked on the article's talk page itself, but I'll probably ask at the respective wikiproject too. Thank you! Reverosie (talk) 23:30, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:::Talk pages are pretty dead unless it's for something like a country, major war, or famous person. Might save you a bit of time in the future. PhoenixCaelestis (Talk · Contributions) 23:33, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
::::Yeah, I just went looking, and the talk page for middle ages (where my article best applies) is abandoned to say the least. I'm not sure where to go from here and might even submit the article as a nomination tomorrow regardless since I've spent quite a lot of time at it. (though, I'm not sure how to do that either!) Waiting for a peer review would be useless at this stage since I had the article's failed GA nomination to guide me. Reverosie (talk) 23:41, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
Moving drafts to the article space
Hello!
I'm so sorry to ask another question so soon after the previous one, but it's unrelated: My account is now over 4 days old and has nearly 300 edits, so can I move my submitted draft into the article mainspace? If so, how? If not, can I delete my draft and re-create it as a new article that won't need a review? or do articles still need reviews even from verified accounts?
Thank you! Reverosie (talk) 23:16, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
:Your account should be autoconfirmed, and thus you should be able to move a page. There should be a blue "Move" button on the right ToC just under the header "Tools". If you feel the article meets notability guidelines, then by all means you are permitted to move it into mainspace. Be warned that it may be moved back to draftspace if another editor feels it is not ready. PhoenixCaelestis (Talk · Contributions) 23:31, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
::Thank you so much! The article is moved :) Reverosie (talk) 23:46, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

How vandalism is caught
An article I recently edited got vandalized but caught by an IP user. I wanted to ask that editor how he or she caught the vandalism so quickly, unless it was just coincidence, but that editor doesn't have a functioning Talk page. So I thought to ask in the Teahouse, where others might be intrested in the answer: is there some tool that "live editors" (not bots) can use to check for vandalism? Augnablik (talk) 06:06, 28 May 2025 (UTC)

:Hello @Augnablik. I check Special:Recentchanges and watch as things happen. Tarlby (t) (c) 06:14, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
::@Tarlby and @Jéské Couriano, okay, I went to that page you both recommended but I can't quite picture a way to know from looking at the entries if vandalism has occurred. If you just "watch as things happen," it would seem that you'd have to sit there glued to the screen all day ... and even then, how would you know when vandalism was what any of the edits included?
::The more I think about this, the more I wonder how even a bot could determine what was vandalism and what wasn't. Maybe the way the other editor caught vandalism on the article I edited really was just coincidental. Augnablik (talk) 07:32, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
:::@Augnablik: At Special:RecentChanges there are filters that can be edited to display what types of recent changes should be seen. Two commonly used filters are "Very likely have problems" and "Likely have problems", which I suspect CVU members use regularly to check. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 09:21, 28 May 2025 (UTC)

Thug Life - Reel and Real
A Life Lesson for ever .........
Thug Life - Is it a tattoo - a meme or a Rebellion pose??
Is it waking up every day, staring failure in the face and saying — “Not today, da.”
Now let’s talk the reel and real Thug Life.
But the present version - ageing like our Amma's filter coffee and still tasty.
🎬 Kamal Haasan. Mani Ratnam. A.R. Rahman. Simbu.
4 men.
4 different battles.
1 loud message: “We’re still here. And we’re not done.”
After a big setback with Netizens almost trolling him to the core - a never before for Indian 2- Kamal Haasan at 70, walks into Thug Life
not like a man trying to prove something but confident of doing a new thing irrespective of anything.
And Mani Ratnam? He’s nearing 70 too.
He made a 30-year-old Kamal play a 60-year-old don in Nayakan. Now? He’s flipped the script. Making the same Kamal act like he’s 30 — with fire in his eyes and rebellion in his walk.
That is Thug Life - I feel.
It’s not about pretending to be young.
It’s about refusing to grow old inside.
🎶 Then comes Rahman.
Nearing 60 soon, still creating music like he’s got something to prove. He doesn't rest on Grammys. He reinvents. Every. Single. Time.
Thug Life?
It’s the beat that keeps playing even when the world hits pause.
🔥 And Simbu.
Written off. Doubted. Questioned. But Mani Ratnam didn’t just cast him. He trusted him when others didn’t. That trust? Simbu’s paying it back with every frame.
இனிமேல் நான் தான் Rangaraya Sakthivel Naickan. (Here after Iam - Rangaraya Sakthivel Naickan) - Simbu Roaring like a Lion in the Teaser
He’s acting, roaring and also
thanking in Audio Launch. That’s real thug gratitude.
So what is Thug Life?
Is it the life you flex on Instagram.
Is it the life you fight for when no one's watching.
It is Kamal screaming “action” at 70.
Mani rewriting rules at 69.
Rahman composing thunder at 59.
Simbu proving doubters wrong at 42
They didn’t drop a film. They dropped a message:
THUG LIFE
Don’t let your age, your past, your critics—or your own fear—decide when your story ends.
Because legends? They don’t age. They evolve.
If they’re living their Thug Life at 60's and and 70s
Why not you - Most happy to hear your thug life moments - irrespective of your age . VS Balajee (talk) 07:58, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
