The following pages in the MediaWiki namespace were formerly unprotected; currently all pages in the MediaWiki namespace are protected.
History
The following pages, which used to be unprotected, have been made protected since the software upgrade in June 2004.
A large number of boilerplate messages, which were previously in the MediaWiki namespace and unprotected, were moved to the Template namespace, which also contains all previous and subsequent templates.
