Welcome to the Japanese baseball task force of the Baseball WikiProject. We are supported by WikiProject Japan.

This task force was created because of the popularity of the sport in Japan, without the sufficient backing of content in Wikipedia. Japanese baseball articles currently are either very short, or not much content at all.

Join

To join this task force, simply add your name to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Baseball/Participant List and indicate you are interested in the Japanese baseball task force.

To-do

  • Create articles for each league's yearly Climax Series with line scores.
  • Write descriptions for all games in all articles
  • Create articles for the Pacific League's other playoff series in years past.
  • Create articles for all of the Japan Series with line scores.
  • Create articles for all NPB seasons.
  • Create list of managers for all teams.
  • Add {{tl|NPB infobox}} to all team articles with correct information.
  • Create uniform images for all teams (ie Chunichi Dragons).
  • Create as many player articles as possible, especially ones with red links.
  • General clean-up of players' articles and talk pages.

  • Add japan=yes to the {{tl|WikiProject Baseball}} banner on all Japanese baseball-related articles' talk pages.
  • Add japan-importance=??? into the template to assess the article's importance to the project. Replace "???" with your personal assessment ("low", "mid", "high" or "top").
  • Add player=yes into the template for any Japanese-player articles.
