Welcome to the military biography task force, which covers all biographies of military personnel. If you have any questions about articles or are generally seeking advice, you're encouraged to ask at the main military history talk page, or you can directly approach one of the task force participants below.

The coordinators of the Military history WikiProject can be contacted here.

Scope

This group covers all biographies of military personnel. Note that merely having served in a military—particularly in a nation with universal military service—may not necessarily make someone a military person; see the Military history WikiProject's description of scope for more details.

Notability guidelines for military biographies can be found at WP:MILPEOPLE.

Any article related to this task force should be marked by adding parameters to the project banners at the top of its talk page:

  • Biography-task-force=yes or Biography=y to {{tl|WPMILHIST}} (see the instructions for more details on the exact syntax)
  • military-work-group=yes to {{tl|WPBiography}} (see the instructions for more details on the exact syntax)

This will automatically place it into :Category:Military biography work group articles.
