If you're new to Wikipedia and thinking of becoming an editor – welcome! Here are a few resources that will help get you up to speed on how things work around here.

You will learn what Wikipedia is and how it works, how to navigate Wikipedia, how and why you should contribute to Wikipedia, important rules that keep Wikipedia reliable, how to edit with VisualEditor and using wiki markup, how to add content, and etiquette for interacting with other contributors.
• Wikipedia:Tutorial is a web-based introduction.
• Help:Getting started provides links to several other resources that are useful to new editors.
• When it all seems too complex, The Teahouse is a friendly place to help new editors become accustomed to Wikipedia culture, ask questions, and develop community relationships.
• The Talk page of this project is the place to ask any questions about editing Devon articles.
• When you've created a user account (see WP:REGISTER for why this is a good idea), feel free to sign our informal list of participants.

• In common with many other WikiProjects, we use a quality assessment of Stub to FA and an importance scale of Low to Top.

This project broadly follows the guidelines of its parent, the UK Geography WikiProject, on how to write about settlements.
