=Infobox=

Each dog breed article should use {{tlx|Infobox dog breed}}, which looks like the example to the right:

See the template for its specific documentation.

==Other infoboxes==

  • {{tlx|Taxobox}} – for a canid species (wolf, African wild dog etc.); this is never used for a breed, type, group, or feral population of domestic dog, though it is necessarily used at Domestic dog itself).
  • {{tlx|Infobox animal}} – for individual dogs; this is generally only used on richly developed articles like Laika (infoboxes that are not helpful to the reader or which dominate the page are often a source of dispute)
  • {{tlx|Infobox sport}} – for dog sports, as with any other
  • {{tlx|Infobox organization}} – for dog-related organizations, as with any other
  • {{tlx|Infobox hound pack}} – for hunts and packs of hounds

Article talk page templates

=WikiProject tagging=

All talk pages of articles within Wikipedia:WikiProject Dogs should have the {{tlx|WikiProject Dogs|class=|importance=}} template. Articles should be assessed according to the project's guidelines. For articles that are within the scope of a task force, an additional argument should be used. For example, the dog breeds task force should use {{tlx|WikiProject Dogs|class=|importance=|breeds=yes}}.

{{WikiProject Dogs|class=NA|category=no}}

=Photo request=

To add a request for a photo to an article's talk page, use {{tlx|image requested|dog breeds}}

You can optionally include a special request, for example such as asking for a picture of a border collie herding sheep etc., {{tlx|image requested|dog breeds|of{{=}}your_request_goes_here}}.

For dogs native to a particular region, add an "in=" parameter, e.g. {{tlx|image requested|dog breeds|in=Australia}}
