France Wins in Nice, Tieing Record for Most Junior Eurovision Wins

Dear Eurovision Fans,

Welcome to our 50th WikiProject Eurovision newsletter, where we bring you exciting updates and celebrate our community's contributions.

This edition highlights community achievement, showcasing our commitment to enriching Eurovision's presence on Wikipedia. Also, we proudly congratulate France's recent victory in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023. {{Esccnty|France|J|y=2023}}'s Zoé Clauzure's winning performance of "{{Lang|fr|italics=no|Cœur}}" marks a remarkable achievement, as France becomes the second country after {{Esccnty|Poland|J}} to win the contest twice in a row.

Looking ahead, we're buzzing with anticipation for Eurovision 2024 in Malmö. We'll keep you updated on the countries announcing their artists and songs.

;AI Song Contest

  • In A Coruña, Spain, Synthetic Beat Brigade won the AI Song Contest 2023 on 4 November, hailing from the {{flagicon|Netherlands}}Netherlands. The song by the Dutch group was crafted using an analysis of Eurovision Song Contest entries from 2010 to 2019. For the lyrics, they utilized GPT-2, and AI tools were employed to develop the backing track.

;Eurovision Song Contest

  • {{Esc|Cyprus}} will be represented by Silia Kapsis , while {{Esc|France}} will see Slimane sing Mon amour, with {{Esc|Greece}} choosing Marina Satti.
  • The 2024 contest will take place in Malmö, after {{Esc|Sweden}}'s Loreen won for a record second time. This will be the third time (following the 1992 and 2013 contests) that Malmö will host. It will be held on the 7, 9 and 11 May in the Malmö Arena, the same venue as the 2013 edition.

;Eurovision Young Musicians

  • The 2024 contest will be held in Bodø, Norway on 17 August 2024.
  • {{Esc|Belgium|Musicians}}, {{Esc|Czech Republic|Musicians}}, {{Esc|France|Musicians}}, {{Esc|Germany|Musicians}}, {{Esc|Norway|Musicians}}, and {{Esc|Slovenia|Musicians}} have all confirmed their participation for the contest.

;Junior Eurovision Song Contest

  • {{Esc|France|Junior}}'s Zoé Clauzure was the winner of the contest with the song "{{Lang|fr|italics=no|Cœur}}", making France the second country to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest twice in a row, after {{Esccnty|Poland|J}}. The result also marked France equaling {{Esccnty|Georgia|J}}'s record for the most Junior Eurovision victories. {{Esc|Spain|Junior}}, {{Esc|Armenia|Junior}}, the {{Esc|United Kingdom|Junior}} and {{Esc|Ukraine|Junior}} completed the top five. Further down the table, {{Esc|Germany|Junior}} achieved its best result to date, and {{Esc|Albania|Junior}} its second-best result, while {{Esc|Georgia|Junior}} tied its worst placement and {{Esc|Ireland|Junior}} placed last for the first time.

;OGAE Second Chance Contest

  • Marcus & Martinus of {{Esc|Sweden}} won the 2023 edition in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The show featured 24 entries that failed to be selected to take part in this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
