Welcome to the February 2014 edition of the Bugle!
Possibly due to the combination of the Christmas break, unusually cold weather in the US and unusually hot weather in Australia, January and the first weeks of February have been a relatively quiet period for the military history Wikiproject. Lots of editors have been chipping away at articles and reviews though.
The biggest news has been the launch of the February 2014 backlog reduction drive which is targeting articles on World War I. The drive runs until 15 March, so there's still time to join in. Adam Cuerden also provided a valuable (and somewhat overdue) [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AWikiProject_Military_history%2FShowcase%2FFP&diff=595195058&oldid=537619729 update] to the showcase of featured pictures which fall within the scope of the project.
This month's edition of the Bugle includes a wrap-up of the articles and other content which were promoted to featured and A-class level during January, as well as book reviews by Hawkeye7 and Nick-D. The Bugle{{'}}s editors are keen to see the return of op-eds in future editions of the Bugle, and editors who have something they'd like to see published are warmly encouraged to post their submission at the Newsroom or contact Ian or Nick.
Your editors, Ian Rose (talk) and Nick-D (talk)
