Welcome to the second Bugle for 2020!

To start on a very positive note, we're pleased to congratulate {{u|Peacemaker67}} for recently achieving his 50th Featured Article promotion with the John Leak article passing FAC. Many of these articles cover "controversial" topics, making this a particularly noteworthy achievement. Peacemaker is the 20th most prolific featured article nominator, in a list where many of the top places are held by editors who focus on military history topics.

Turning to article news more broadly, while only five new A-class articles were promoted in January, it was a busy month for new featured articles. Two powerful images also reached featured picture status.

The regular book review section includes an assessment by Nick-D of a somewhat disappointing recent book on the Battle of Normandy, as well as the usual roundup of recent reviews published elsewhere.

Your editors, Ian Rose (talk) and Nick-D (talk)

Next month the project will be running a backlog elimination and content creation drive. This will target several areas including tagging and assessment, improving our task forces, and content creation. The drive will begin on 1 March and continue through to the end of the month. Barnstars and mentions in despatches will be awarded to participating editors. Interested editors are encouraged to sign up now.
