Welcome to the seventh Bugle edition for 2019!

This issue features four book reviews by Peacemaker67, Hawkeye7 and Nick-D covering recent works on both world wars.

Last month saw the promotion of the 24-article Good Topic Nuclear weapons and the United Kingdom, which represents years of dedicated work on the subject by {{u|Hawkeye7}}. Well done on an outstanding contribution to the encyclopaedia! Also, {{u|Bryanrutherford0}}, who, while not (yet) a member of the project, had his 4-article Good Topic Silesian Wars promoted in the last month as well.

These achievements were only part of what was a busy month for new featured and A-class content. The regular article news section highlights these articles and images.

The quarterly reviewing awards have also been handed out. Collectively, we conducted 500 reviews over the period April to June. The WikiChevrons were awarded to Peacemaker67, Nikkimaria, CPA-5, Gog the Mild, Sturmvogel 66, Australian Rupert and Parsecboy, with another 34 editors reviewing between one and fourteen articles. Thanks to everyone for contributing to our quality and assessment processes. Our amazing throughput is down to you.

Finally, a head's-up that voting for the XIX Coordinator Tranche will open in September. All project members are encouraged to participate either by voting for coordinators or by running for one of the open positions. The project has two academy essays that may be of use to you: becoming a coordinator and advice from former coordinators. Please feel free to ask questions of the current coordinators as well.

Zawed for Samuel Forsyth, William Hardham, and John Gildroy Grant.

Sturmvogel 66 for Normandie-class battleship, German torpedo boat Albatros, and Russian battleship Dvenadsat Apostolov.

The contest department completed its 143rd round of competition in June. A total of 63 articles were submitted by 11 editors. Sturmvogel 66 took out the competition with 111 points from 17 articles, while Australian Rupert came second with 70 points from 12 articles. Sturmvogel 66 has been awarded the Chevrons for his achievement, and Australian Rupert has received the Writer's Barnstar. PlanespotterA230, Parsecboy, Gog the Mild, Peacemaker67, Zawed, Auntieruth55, L293D, Djmaschek and TeriEmbrey also contributed entries. Points will go towards the 2019 Military History Writers' Contest Cup, which will be decided at the end of the December contest. Please submit any articles you are working on for the next round of the competition now.
