- The contest department has completed its forty-second month of competition. A total of 34 articles were entered by 7 editors. Ian Rose came first with 57 points from 10 articles, followed by The Bushranger with 56 points from 11 articles. They receive the WikiChevrons and the Writer's Barnstar respectively. Honorable mentions go to Ed! (32) and Djmaschek (18). The ed 17, RoslynSKP and WikiCopter also fielded entries. Please submit any articles you are working on for the December contest.

- Nick-D for Bombing of Yawata (June 1944), Bombing of Singapore (1944–1945) and Black Friday (1945).
