Welcome to the tenth Bugle edition of 2016, and what looks to be our biggest issue in almost two years!
This month we bring you an interview with the three first-time members of the project coordinator tranche elected in September, and a review essay in which {{u|Nick-D}} discusses recent re-appraisals of the successes and failures of the British and Australian Armies in World War II.
This issue also includes all our usual features: a round-up of the content promoted to A-Class and Featured status last month, two book reviews by {{u|Hawkeye7}} focusing on the US military, and an op-ed by {{u|TomStar81}} on the end of the Battle of the Somme. Tom also contributes his regular timeline of the events of World War I that took place 100 years ago this month.
On the subject of articles promoted last month, the Bugle would like to congratulate {{u|Kges1901}} on his first featured article and Krishna Chaitanya Velaga for his first featured list!
In other news, the MilHist FA, A-Class, GA and Peer Reviews for July–September have been tallied. {{u|Nikkimaria}} headed the list with 29 reviews, followed by {{u|Dank}} with 27. You can find the names of everyone who contributed here, and we thank them all for their efforts.

- The contest department completed its 112th round of competition last month. There were 73 articles submitted by 12 editors. In a familiar ending, Kges1901 took first place with 103 points from 18 articles to receive the Chevrons, followed by Parsecboy, who earned the Writer's Barnstar with 54 points from five entries. An honorable mentions go to Zawed with 37 points. TeriEmbrey, Catlemur, Australian Rupert, Arius1998, Djmaschek, Iazyges, Krishna Chaitanya Velaga, Peacemaker67 and Vami IV also fielded entries. Please submit any articles you are working on for this month's round of competition now.
