• As part of the project's New Year's Resolutions, there is an ongoing effort to decrease the number of stubs to 5%. As of February 14, we are at 10.07%, with 472 articles currently in :Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. It still would be greatly appreciated if members would expand, source and improve stub articles, and a list of well-known wrestlers and tag teams that should be fairly easy to improve is included on the stub article subpage.
• Based on the members list, there are currently 236 members participating in WikiProject Professional wrestling.

• 14 - Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) presents Against All Odds
• 21 - World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) presents Elimination Chamber

• On January 31:
• Tim Donst defeated Player Dos to win the Chikara Young Lions Cup.
• At the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 31:
• Mickie James won the WWE Women's Championship by defeating Michelle McCool.
• Edge made his return after injury to win the Royal Rumble match.
• Beth Phoenix became only the second woman in history to enter the Royal Rumble match.
• Jack Brisco died on February 1 at the age of 68.
• On the February 2 episode of ECW, Vince McMahon announced that ECW will be coming to an end. It will be replaced with a program called WWE NXT, which will debut on March 2.
• In early february it was announced that Canadian indepedent promotions Border City Wrestling and BSE Pro have merged to form Maximum Pro Wrestling.
• Independent wrestler Human Tornado announced his retirement on February 4.
• On the February 8 episode of Raw, The Miz and The Big Show won the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship by defeating the reigning champions D-Generation X and CM Punk and Luke Gallows in a triple threat match.
• Retired Canadian professional wrestler Charles Baillargeon died on February 10 following a stroke at the age of 92.
• On February 11, ROH announced that their television program, Ring of Honor Wrestling, would begin airing on Dahlia TV in Italy.
• Tyler Black won the ROH World Championship for the first time at ROH's 8th Anniversary Show on February 13 by defeating Austin Aries.

:*Only add controversial, possibly contentious or libellous information if it comes from a reliable source and is verifiable.

:*Make sure that all information contained in biographies of living persons is written neutrally, from a non-point of view perspective.

1. Please remember that fair use images and media can be only be used if no free equivalent is available or could be created. Fair use images uploaded when a free equivalent exists will be deleted.
2. Please familiarize yourself with the general notability policy of Wikipedia. Avoid creating new articles that do not satisfy the requirements.
3. If you come across an article that fails notability requirements, you can tag it for speedy deletion if the criteria apply, propose it for deletion, or nominate it at WP:AFD.
4. When adding headers to articles, do not add wikilinks to them and only capitalize the first letter of the first word and any proper nouns.
