Welcome to the Georgia State Routes Task Force of WikiProject U.S. Roads! Please feel free to contribute on how to improve articles in the talk page above.
Scope and goals
This task force aims primarily to encourage participation in creating or expanding articles about state highways in Georgia, also known as State Routes (note the capitals). This task force also aims to establish standards relating to the display of information in these articles. The goal is to organize, standardize, and expand the articles on highways in Georgia to be a broad, comprehensive, and recognized resource.
The following highways can have entire articles dedicated to them:
- Routes that are constructed, traversable, state-maintained, and signed with their own route numbers.
- Routes that are partly constructed or partly signed.
- Deleted routes with significant information worthy of an article.
- Interstates that run entirely in Georgia (mostly spur and loop routes). Ideally, these should also be part of this WikiProject.
- Georgia specific Interstate articles. For example: Interstate 75 in Georgia
The following are task force goals:
- Write articles
- Write good articles
- Write featured articles
- Make redirects listed on /Completion list

Structure and standards
Articles should follow WP:USRD/STDS.
=Naming convention=
Articles are located at Georgia State Route XXX; if not, they need to be moved there.
Note: In all uses of the phrase "State Route", capitals are to be used. This includes stubs and categories and templates and lists.
=Shields=
The various shield graphics are located in Category:Diagrams of road signs of Georgia (U.S. state) on Commons. {{tl|jct}} can create the various links to highway articles with the appropriate shield graphics for use in the infobox or junction lists.
=Categories=
All articles are placed into a category: either :Category:State highways in Georgia (U.S. state), :Category:Former state highways in Georgia (U.S. state), :Category:U.S. Highways in Georgia (U.S. state), or :Category:Interstate Highways in Georgia (U.S. state). The sort key is a three-digit number (except for the former four-digit proposal numbers) representing the route number followed by banner designation if applicable.
Examples:
Templates
=Infobox=
