The GameCup is a championship aimed at improving video game coverage on Wikipedia. It is sponsored by WikiProject Video games and is open to anyone who wants to compete. The purpose of the GameCup is to encourage video game content improvement and creation, make editing more fun, and to encourage participation in WP:VG and its task forces. The 2012 GameCup will begin on August 20, 2012 and end on December 20, 2012. Signups for the 2012 GameCup are now open.
There is only one round to GameCup competition. For the full rules, please read the "Full Rules" page while remembering that the spirit of the rules and not the letter is the most important thing to follow. The judges remove the right to remove any editor from the competition. The current judge for the 2012 GameCup is Nomader. Participant barnstars are given to all competitors, and the winner receives the GameCup trophy.
