; Project's Featured Member

In this segment each issue, the newsletter selects a member who has performed acts of merit for the project or to its respective articles. If you would like to be selected for the Project's Featured Member, please contact {{user|Gaogier}}, show what acts you have performed that are worthy of merit, and talk a little about yourself; it's for fun!

{{user|Red Phoenix}} is this issue's featured member, for his excellent work for the Sega Project. Our head of assessment and temporary leader is now semi-retired, and we hope that he will be back soon. He has done a great deal for the project, and has made our first featured list. Check out his userpage for more info about him.

; The First Featured List

{{classicon|FA}} The Sega Project has promoted its first featured list. List of Sega 32X games was promoted to featured list status yesterday. If you would like to read more about the actual promotion, check out Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Sega 32X games.

; Newsletter Still Looking for Columnists

For all subsequent issues, the Sega Project is still looking for columnists for the newsletter, to be released roughly every month, though no exact deadline for the newsletter will be set. If you would like to write a column for WikiProject Sega and have it displayed here in the newsletter, please make a note of this at WT:SEGA. Columns can be about anything about Sega (and its related franchises), Wikipedia, or the Sega Project. Thank you for your submissions.

; Active Members - Yet Again!

Members of the Sega Project, most of you are inactive around the project, and there is talk of the Sega Project being turned into a task force because of this. While the active members can understand this, we would like more of our members to be active around the project. All you need to do is to use the project's talk page and discuss issues with project members. In return, active project members will help you with any help you might need. So please, we ask all of you to become more active around the project and make use of what you have signed up to become part of. If you have any questions or comments, just bring your comments to WT:SEGA or you can contact Gaogier personally at his talk page.

; Sonic the Hedgehog Merge.

Most of the Sonic the Hedgehog character articles have been merged to help clean up fancruft. Further discussion of cleaning is being held here

; Sonic Task Force members.

The new task force is operational and we would like more participants to help set it up and to improve Sonic articles.
