• 1971 Red River Delta Flood - killed 100,000 in Vietnam during the Vietnam war

• 1779-1780 "The Hard" Winter I've done some research on it and it has been said it's the worst winter in American history. Most notably, the American Army encamped at Morriston recorded at least 26 winter storms, including 6 blizzards.
