A main goal of this course is to have each of you actively involved in learning about biotechnology. The topics reviewed in class will provide the student a perspective of core concepts essential for the biotechnology industry, and how to enable technologies. Further, a brief perspective into biotech businesses will be provided. The continuous engagement in the class includes the implementation of critical reading (discussion of papers), problem solving (analysis of raw/peer reviewed data), speaking skills (active participation in class), and writing skills (Wiki project).
