This is a summary of recent technology and site configuration changes that affect the English Wikipedia. Note that some changes described here have not yet gone live as of press time; the English Wikipedia is currently running version {{CURRENTVERSION}}, and changes to the software with a version number higher than that will not yet be active. Configuration changes and changes to interface messages, however, become active immediately.

- PDF file generation has been enabled for English Wikipedia articles (see related story).
- The CommunityVoice extension is now enabled on the [http://usability.wikimedia.org Usability wiki]; it enables users to rate items on a 1-5 star scale. (See the [http://blog.wikimedia.org/2009/02/19/community-voice-on-wikipedia/ Wikimedia blog post]).
- Diffs can now be fetched using the API. (r47890, bug 13209)
- The current user's email address can be retrieved by uiprop=email in meta=userinfo. (r47705, bug 17626)
